Patrick Michael James Sajak Stays Low-Key & Forged His Own Career Path
Patrick Michael James Sajak is the son of "Wheel of Fortune" host Pat Sajak. Although he didn't follow in his father's footsteps, his father is proud of the path that he has taken.
Patrick is the first of two children Pat shares with his wife, Lesley Brown-Sajak. He was born on September 22, 1990. He made appearances on his father's show, especially when he was younger.
However, he did not choose life on television as his father did. Instead, he became a doctor of medicine, which his father was elated by. Although they don't share the same enthusiasm for the television industry, the father-son combination shares a passion for sports and occasionally attends games together.

Patrick's father has been a household name in the entertainment industry for a long time, but he did not inspire his son to follow in his footsteps. Still, Patrick Sajak has been successful in the path he chose for himself.
While ending an episode of the "Wheel of Fortune," Pat gave a shout-out to his son, congratulating him for completing medical school. He said, "So you know my son Patrick? You've known him all of his life. He's made it through medical school, and he's now officially Dr. Sajak, and we are thrilled about that."
His sister, Maggie Sajak, also applauded him via a message on her Instagram. She posted a photo of her hugging her older brother and a caption that said she was proud of him for becoming a medical doctor.
Patrick Michael James Sajak Enjoys Spending Time with Dad by Going to Sports Games
Although Patrick may not have shared his father's passion well enough to follow in his footsteps in the entertainment business, he does share his dad's passion for sports. According to Patrick's Instagram, his favorite sports are hockey (most probably ice hockey, as it is the popular type in America), baseball, and golf.
The duo can be seen at many sporting events together. In August 2007, the New York Times reported they spotted them in the stands at Dodger Stadium as they watched the home team play against the Colorado Rockies. A few hours later, they were spotted again at Camden Yards in Baltimore, watching the Texas Rangers play the Orioles.
In 2012, they attended the NHL Winter Classic games held at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The two had been to every event of the games since its inception in 2008. Pat said that it had become a tradition pretty quickly.

Patrick Michael James Sajak Protects His Privacy but Attended Dad's Red Carpet Events in His Youth
Unlike his celebrity father, Patrick keeps himself away from the media spotlight as much as possible, although he is sometimes seen with his father. He is noted as having made a few appearances on his father's show, and Pat occasionally mentions him in the media.
As he has gotten older, he has shied away from the attention more and more. Even his Instagram is private, showing he puts a premium price on his privacy. However, Patrick has not always been that way. When he was younger, he usually accompanied his father and family to red-carpet events.

For example, he attended the animated comedy film "Stuart Little 2" premiere, starring Geena Davis and a young Jonathan Lipnicki, in 2002. The following year, he participated in the premiere of the sports drama movie "Radio" featuring Ed Harris.
In both those appearances, Patrick was with his father, his mother, Lesley Sajak, who used to work as a model, and his sister Maggie Sajak. As he was still young, perhaps he had no choice but to accompany his parents, or he had not thought about his privacy.
