Banderas' girlfriend saved him when he had a heart attack by giving emergency services more time to attend to him. He said he found the heart attack to be the best thing that has ever happened to him because it helped him see what is essential.

How Did Banderas' Partner Save Him During His Heart Attack?

Explaining how exactly his then-girlfriend, Nicole Kimpel, saved his life when he had his heart attack, Banderas revealed that it was a coincidence. He said she had a headache the night before he had the heart attack and was looking for something to relieve the pain.

She could not find anything in the house and decided the best option was to try and find something in a store. It was late at night, and there was nothing to be found. Finally, she came across some aspirin at a department store.

Banderas said she found the aspirin with the greatest strength and bought that, along with some water and other essentials. When she went to pay, the cashier informed her that she had dropped the aspirin. She picked it up, paid for it, and went home.

The following day, Banderas began exhibiting symptoms of a heart attack. Nicole thought swiftly and put one of the aspirin pills under his tongue. He admitted that it was this that had saved his life.

Banderas Becomes Housebound and Nicole Confesses Her Love

After Banderas' heart attack, he changed his life in more ways than one. He became more of a homebody and now enjoys a healthier lifestyle than he did before the unfortunate event. He especially enjoys spending time with family.

At the 2018 Emmy Awards, Banderas said he and his family were enjoying being together, and he was enjoying reading books and exercising during his free time, of which there is now an abundance.

Nicole says she enjoys staying out of the spotlight as much as possible. She admits that she has become somewhat famous only because her partner is, and she remains a homebody even though they have to attend important Hollywood events.

She took to Instagram in 2019 to share a photo of Banderas sitting on a chair in a suit as she gazes down at him and smiles while she wears a red dress. In the post's caption, she confessed her love for Banderas, saying it takes a few seconds to say it, but she would spend her life proving it.
