"Cybill," "Taxi Driver," and "The Last Picture Show" star Cybill Shepherd was aging gracefully at 71! The actress was now a doting grandmother after putting her family first. Cybill Shepherd, famous for starring in "Cybill," "Moonlighting," and "The Last Picture Show," was aging beautifully in 2022, having turned 71. On December 7, 2022, the actress looked incredible as she attended The Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment Gala.
The star dumped her longtime boyfriend, Peter Bogdanovich, because he didn't want to have children with her. Peter already had two children from a previous relationship and didn't want more.

Cybill married David M. Ford, her first husband, in 1978, and their daughter Clementine was welcomed the following year. Sadly, by 1982, the couple's marriage was over, and five years later, the actress was married to Bruce Oppenheim.
That same year, the duo welcomed their twin children, Cyrus and Ariel, but by 1990, the couple's marriage had concluded. At age 64, on March 23, 2014, the star became a grandmother for the first time when Clementine gave birth to baby Elijah Shahriari Ford-Wilcox.

"The Young and The Restless" actress' second grandchild, Welles Molavi Ford-Wilcox, was born to Clementine on September 13, 2016. After welcoming Elijah, a source claimed Cybill was "over the moon" with her new role as a grandmother.
The star was allegedly spoiling her grandson and was helping Clementine with her new role. In 2019 while being interviewed, the actress revealed she wasn't looking for love and described her grandchildren as her "Valentines."

By the time Cybill became a mother for the first time, she was already a big Hollywood star. However, she made sacrifices in her career because her family was more important than her work.
How Did Cybill Put Her Family First?
While Cybill was pregnant with her twins, she faced accusations of arguments while working 12-hour days on the "Moonlighting" set. After taking six months of maternity leave, she returned to the show and breastfed on set for 20 months, but the show failed to recover, and in 1989 it was canceled.

In 1991, the "Being Rose" star confessed that she couldn't imagine working as hard as she had before having her twins. She recalled never having time to live or to be with her children but returned to television in 1995 for her sitcom.

Cybill relocated with children to Encino, San Fernando Valley, believing it was better to raise children there. She felt the area was more down to earth and her children also schooled there, with her noting:
"Plus, I wanted to avoid the tour buses that you get on the other side of the hill.”
The star's sitcom didn't last long on television, and this time it had everything to do with the environment on the show. The actress once revealed that the executive producer was inappropriate towards her.
Why Was Shepherd's Series "Cybill" Canceled?
Rumors said Cybil was a diva on "Cybill;" however, in 2018, she revealed she wasn't the problem, and the show could've "run another five years." The actress claimed it was canceled because she refused Les Moonves, the executive producer's advances.

One incident occurred when Cybill and Moonves's assistants allegedly scheduled a "dinner date" for them. It was during this time that the actress reportedly put him in his place, with her recalling:
"He was telling me his wife didn't turn him on, some mistress didn't turn him on. I'm watching him drink alcohol and he says, 'Well, you know, why don't you let me take you home?'"
The star declined, and not long after, Moonves allegedly started sending notes on the show's direction, and then it was canceled.
Speaking about her role in "Being Rose" opposite James Brolin, Cybill proudly said she "wouldn't have missed it for the world."
Although she lost two shows in the past, she was proud of the movie and felt it was something she could leave behind. However, the actress still hoped to be around for a long time.
