While his career as an artist began in multiple bands, he became yet another artist to leave a band for a solo career and dropped numerous albums before he was 30.

Adrian Showed His Talent at an Early Age

Adrian is Paul Simon and Edie Brickell's eldest son, born in December 1992. After writing his first song at 9, Adrian's vocals were heard on the background melody he wrote for his father's song, "Father And Daughter."

Adrian also joined Paul and his long-time musical partner Art Garfunkel on their Suprise tour, where he joined in on the singing and played the keyboard.

He and his older step-brother from his father's first marriage have followed in their father's footsteps and are a part of a long list of kids of rock legends to pursue musical careers, such as Bob Dylan's son, Bob Marley's sons, Billy Joel's daughter and Phil Collins' son.

Adrian is not only gifted with vocals but also plays the guitar and was the frontman for the band he created in high school called the Ivy League.

The New York-based band built a fan base around their area and released their debut album, "The North Star," in September 2008. Their popularity picked up momentum as they released songs and videos online and landed small-scale gigs in New York.

Adrian Played in Two Bands

Before his 2015 college graduation, Adrian founded a second band, The Willow & The Builder, and the musical group released an album in 2011. Their website reads:

"Richard Miron and Adrian Simon set about crafting a collection of songs and stories about growth, sorrow, trees, and the determination to create happiness from the world that surrounds them."

Their journey to create stories about growth and sorrow resulted in an eight-track album that Yale News called "oddly soothing" and perfect for a Sunday afternoon for fans of calming vocals and soft instrumentals.

Adrian also used his years of experience as a vocalist, guitarist, pianist, and drummer to connect his father with an Italian producer. The pair collaborated on Paul's album, "Stranger to Stranger."

Adrian Went on to Develop His Musical Career

Adrian kickstarted his solo musical career and went by the pseudonym Ade. The singer/songwriter and producer kept to his New York roots and dropped his first solo album, "Midnight Pizza," in 2021. Adrian said:

"The goal of this album was to create a kind of tie dye Venn-diagram wherein everything I liked and felt and was inspired by could embrace and dance around."

While Adrian comes from a family of musicians, he revealed that he was also inspired by a mix of artists, from The Backstreet Boys to Dr. Dre. He used his musical prowess to compose, record, produce and program his album and collaborated with other instrumentalists.

In 2022, Adrian was back in the recording studio and dropped his EP, "Junk in Orbit," and released a music video for the album's single, "Ambivert," which had over five hundred views and forty likes at the time of writing.

Adrian explained that he chose the track's name after reading an article titled "You might be an Ambivert." And after learning the word meant someone who was both introverted and extroverted, Adrian thought the word was "a perfect exemplar of the era we live in."
