Vincent Is Curious about His Armenian Roots
Vincent's parents met when they were working on a music project together. Vincent's mother, Arlette Kotchounian, composed a song for his dad, which later became one of Charle's hit songs.
From there, the two developed their friendship which lasted for many years. Their friendship grew into something serious, and in 1976, they welcomed their child together, Vincent, born in Los Angeles.
Vincent Kotchounian is both American and Armenian; in an interview, his mother said that her son always had an interest in his Armenian roots and that he already knew the language.
Among the names of Ray Charles' children who were actively involved in the case, Vincent wasn't among them.
Regarding the origin of her family, Vincent's mother stated that her parents are Armenians, but they left their country because of the 1915 horrific genocide; Unfortunately, Vincent's mother lost all her grandparents.

According to his Facebook page, Vincent worked at INT MMA GYM; from the photos he posted, he not only worked there but also trained. Besides his love for fitness, Vincent seems to have an artistic side.
In 1989, his father released an album with a collection of the songs he had worked on. Interestingly enough, the album cover photo was designed and taken by Vincent.
Despite having famous parents, Vincent likes to live a low-key life and rarely posts on his social media pages. The last time he shared a post on his Facebook page was in 2012. He also has an Instagram account, but he has never posted anything.
Father Called Vincent and His Siblings to Tell Them the Sad News
Shortly before Christmas of 2002, Vincent's father gathered all his children and told them he was terminally ill. The meeting, held in a hotel near Los Angeles airport, saw all of Vincent's siblings coming together as a group.
Vincent's father told him and his other siblings that he was battling cancer, and he knew that he had a short time to live. He said he was leaving $500,000 to each of his children in his will. Since not everything in the will document was clear, some of Vincent's siblings began to fight for larger amounts.
After that, the struggle for Vincent's dad's legacy began. According to reports, some of Vincent's siblings tried to regain rights to their father's songs under the termination clauses of copyright law. Among the names of Ray Charles' children who were actively involved in the case, Vincent wasn't among them.
