Susan Sarandon Became an Example for Her Daughter despite Challenging 'Circus' Childhood

American blogger, Eva Amurri, is the daughter of famed actress Susan Sarandon and director Franco Amurri. She recently opened up about her childhood experience on TikTok after being asked by a fan if she grew up with other well-known kids' families.

Eva shared that was the case growing up because of her parents' work obligations. Whenever they had a project, they would be around other Hollywood figures and their children, and she became used to being around them.

"Yes, I did grow up with a lot of other kids of celebrities because anytime my parents would do a movie or a TV show or anything like that, there would be the other kids of those other actors and directors who would all be together," she explained.

Eva further stated that many people tend to "liken" the experience of growing up in Hollywood to a "circus." She explained that such a statement comes from the fact that one spends too much of their time with others and eventually becomes "closely intertwined." In the end, they feel like "almost family."

Meanwhile, Eva's mom spoke candidly about her own motherhood journey and admitted she always felt like she was disorganized when it came to raising her:

"Eva is much more organized that I ever was! Seeing her as a mother is an absolute joy."

Sarandon did her best to juggle being a mom with her thriving acting career. So much that she would often make "turkey stuffing in my trailer." She noted she made it her mission to find a balance.

Sarandon's daughter admires her as she raised three young children while having a busy film career. Eva revealed her mother raised her and her brothers, Jack, and Miles, when they were all under the age of seven at some point and was in awe of how she managed.

With that experience, the actress said she realizes how much effort her parent put in for her and her siblings, which must have been "challenging" throughout the years. She added watching her work as a child "set an amazing example" for her.

Sarandon Is Proud of Her Daughter, Who Focused On Family

In 2019, Eva shared what she learned the most from her Oscar-winning mother, saying she aimed to want more for herself, especially concerning her career. "I think that was extremely valuable to me," said the New York native.

Eva continued to say her parent pursued what she knew would be fulfilling in her life and that it was refreshing to have that kind of courage to look up to.

She became a mom and welcomed three kids, Marlowe, Mateo, and Major, with her ex-husband, Kyle Martino – a former professional soccer player. The pair were married from 2011 to 2020.

Once Eva had kids, she shifted her focus from her career to motherhood – her long-time dream. The mom of three revealed that becoming a parent had always been a "topmost priority" for her. She said she knew in her gut that it was what she wanted to be one day.

That said, Eva revealed in May 2021 that her acting career might soon end. She has 33 acting credits, and her last stint was in 2016. The movie star's memorable roles include "Californication," "Saved!" and "That's My Boy."

When asked whether she was entirely bowing out from the big screen, Eva stated she is "done" with acting but did not rule out the possibility of returning once she finds captivating stories that are "more realistic phase of life."

Meanwhile, her mother is beyond "proud" of her for her awe-inspiring maternal instincts. Sarandon said her daughter was doing a great job being a mom and described her as "fierce and strong."

The Emmy Award nominee also enjoys spending time with her grandkids. She revealed in October 2019 that she loves "everything" about being a grandmother.

At the time, Sarandon disclosed that another grandchild was on the way, and she could not be more thrilled to have another new member of the family.

A year before, in 2018, the mother of three shared that her grandchildren were doing well, adding that her granddaughter, Marlowe, is hilarious. And that besides having a great sense of humor, she is very "articulate."

When coming to her grandson Major, the "Thelma & Louise" star said he was beginning to show his "personality," adding she adores him and his sister.
