Bill Pullman is renowned for his roles in a variety of films. With classics like "Independence Day" and "Casper" to his name, he's certainly no stranger to the silver screen. He has starred in everything from quirky comedies like "Spaceballs" to intimate romantic films, including "While You Were Sleeping."
But besides nurturing an extensive career, Bill is also a devoted family man. The actor has known his wife, Tamara Hurwitz, since 1987, and the pair have known each other for a remarkable total of 42 years.

He spoke about his relationship with Tamara, saying he learned through the years that working together and spending time with each other is imperative to their lasting love. He noted that their ranch is perfect for them to bond over their shared passion for the outdoors. Bill commented on family life:
"It's been a good, long epic with three kids that are all doing well, and everybody's tight."
Bill and Tamara's shared passions have helped their bond persist through the years. They also enjoy exploring new things together and take time to do simple things like try out new restaurants for date nights. Bill also noted that being home and helping out has been a tremendous help.

Bill is clearly proud of his kids regardless of the path they chose in life.
Bill also ensures his relationship with his wife and children remains stable by choosing his work carefully. Before accepting his role in "The Sinner," Bill asked his wife to read the script and tell him what she thought. Although she wasn't exactly thrilled about the role's racy elements, she didn't condone it, and the actor took the job.

Bill and Tamara did an excellent job as parents, raising three talented and creative children. His oldest child, and his only daughter, is Maesa Pullman. Bill praised her musical skills and explained that she makes a living by leading an alternative community and a choir. He also said she's a teacher, a singer, and a songwriter.
The "Zero Effect" star also spoke about his middle child, Jack Pullman. Like his oldest, Jack is a creative individual with a passion for expression and creating something new. Bill shared that Jack started making puppets and masks and eventually managed to turn his creative skills into a viable source of income.
Soon after Lewis started with short films, he landed a role acting alongside his dad in "The Ballad of Lefty Brown," which turned out to be his big break.

Bill is clearly proud of his kids regardless of the path they chose in life. He mentioned that they all follow their passions with fervor, which has impressed him tremendously. To Bill, the most important thing is that his children dedicate themselves to something they love, and the father of three remarked about his kids:
"All three have evolved into these people that are making their way in the world, doing what they love. How great is that, to feel like they've got a fire for something and are committed?"
But unlike the rest, Bill's youngest, Lewis Pullman, decided to follow in his dad's footsteps. Bill said the youngest Pullman chose the profession on his own, without any pressure from his dad. From a young age, Bill's carbon copy, Lewis, seemed interested in what his dad was doing, and when he started acting, he had a knack for it.

When Lewis starred in a short film with actress Rita Wilson, she complimented Bill on his son's acting prowess, saying, "Bill, he's an actor." That was when Bill realized where his son would be going with his life. Ever since, Lewis has starred in bigger and bigger projects, even landing roles in blockbusters.
Soon after Lewis started with short films, he landed a role acting alongside his dad in "The Ballad of Lefty Brown," which turned out to be his big break. He caught the eye of several directors, which led him to star in films such as "Bad Times at the El Royale" and "The Strangers."
Lewis played in his first series in 2022. He portrayed Rhett Abbott in the series "Outer Range." Bill's youngest even had the opportunity to star alongside one of his childhood heroes, Tom Cruise, in the film "Top Gun Maverick."
