Elvis Presley's daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, recently passed away due to cardiac arrest. Her mother, Priscilla Presley, announced Lisa's death on Thursday, January 12, and thanked all who sent consolations and kind words. She mentioned that she admired her daughter tremendously and asked for privacy.

Followers showed their grief by sharing commemorative posts on social media and wishing the Presley family well. Among those making their sadness known was Lisa's lesser-known half-brother, Navarone Garibaldi. Navarone opened up about his relationship with his late sister and expressed his sorrow at her death.

Navarone started his touching tribute to his sister by sharing a photo of him as a toddler playing in a sandbox while the older Lisa looked on and smiled playfully at him. He captioned the post by saying he wished they were closer in her final days but sent her tons of love, nonetheless. He also remarked:

"Big sister… I hope you are now at peace and happy with your Dad and your son by your side."

Navarone expressed his shock at his sister's death and wished her well on her "journey home." Navarone made the post on Friday, January 13, and his followers and close friends reached out, with one saying, "Deeply heartbreaking." Navarone ended his message by signing it "Beijos."

After Priscilla and her first husband, Elvis, separated, she went on to date a few other men. The one that managed to stick around for a while, though, was the screenwriter Marco Garibaldi. Priscilla also mentioned that she has always taught her kids to rely on themselves and be independent. Although it would be easy to use Elvis' fame to their advantage, she has always encouraged them to make something of themselves using their own talents and their own initiative. She commented:

"We have never been, 'Elvis this, Elvis that,' to our children because otherwise you're building up something that is almost unreachable for them."

Priscilla also said that her family and her children mean the world to her. She mentioned that she loves spending time with her family, and it is always a large gathering when all their relatives come together. Priscilla said she also believes in giving children support and guidance, so sticking together as a family is imperative in her mind.
