  • David Beckham was excited after Cruz Beckham whipped up a pizza for his family.

  • Cruz is David's third son, but unlike his dad, Cruz prefers more creative pursuits.

  • David is a supportive dad, no matter what. Cruz and Brooklyn Beckham, the soccers star's oldest son, decided not to follow in their dad's footsteps, and David is still proud of them.

On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, the retired soccer star David Beck and his kids went out to eat at a pizza place in Miami. The 47-year-old athlete, his 11-year-old daughter, Harper Seven Beckham, and his third son, 17-year-old Cruz Beckham, all enjoyed themselves as they sat down for a family meal.

However, the friendly staff at the restaurant invited him to try his hand at making his own pizza, and the young Beckham boy couldn't refuse. The staff escorted him into the kitchen, where he set to work building himself a cheesy masterpiece.

Cruz donned an apron over his jacket and ladled the sauce for the base onto the dough. He followed the sauce with a healthy helping of cheese and popped the dish into the oven as a worker commented in the background that the pizza looked delicious.

Interestingly, the youngest Beckham brother recently revealed that he hopes to forge his own path instead of following in his dad's footsteps.

While his son showed off his culinary prowess, David documented the entire process and shared it on his Instagram profile. The proud dad caught his son as he prepped and finished the dish, and he was highly impressed with the results when he tasted the pizza.

With a proud David beaming behind the camera, Harper looking on, and Cruz cooking up a storm, the family night out was a huge success. The Beckhams were joined by the retired football legend Tom Brady and his 10-year-old daughter, Vivian, and the group ended the night with pictures of them all smiling together.

The young man has secured the help of the writer who helped Justin Bieber.

The two sports icons took a photo with the restaurant owners and another with all the staff crowding in and smiling broadly. David also posted a snapshot of him, Harper, Tom, and Vivian together and captioned it, saying "Daddy's and there daughters," [sic] and "Family night."

After they had their meal and took photos, David noted that the restaurant's pizza was some of the best he had ever had. He complimented the staff on their excellent performance, and the night seemed to end there.

Interestingly, the youngest Beckham brother recently revealed that he hopes to forge his own path instead of following in his dad's footsteps. Like his oldest brother, Brooklyn Beckham, Cruz announced he would try his hand at a creative, entertainment-based career.

What Lies Ahead for a Grown-up Cruz Beckham, David's Third Son?

Although David is a tremendously famous soccer player, the love of the game hasn't been passed on to all his kids. Instead, Cruz and his oldest brother Brooklyn decided to do things their own way. Cruz recently announced that he would try and make it as a musician instead of keeping the Beckham soccer legacy alive.

The oldest Beckham brother also admitted that living up to his father's legendary reputation was a daunting prospect, and he wasn't sure he would be able to do it.

His interest in music was already evident in 2016, when the then-11-year-old released a Christmas single. At the time, there was public outcry after David and his wife, Victoria Beckham, allowed their young son to enter the music industry, famous for its often volatile treatment of artists. David responded:

"We always hope that our children listen to us... we do a lot of work for charity... and Cruz came to us and said: 'How about I do a Christmas song for charity?'... There's nothing more to this than that at the moment. He's 11 years old, he's still at school, he's concentrating at school, that's the most important thing."

Six years later, Cruz announced he would try and break into the music industry, and this time, he's serious about it. The young man has secured the help of the writer who helped Justin Bieber. He commented on his choice of career, saying soccer was in the cards for him once, but he has his sights set on making music:

"I thought I would want to do football and I did that for a bit. At that point, I just decided this is exactly what I want to do."

Cruz said his first foray into the music industry helped him make up his mind, and he has been working hard to achieve his dreams ever since. He taught himself how to play a variety of instruments, and he has been working on songs and ideas for bigger projects over the last few years.

David's Eldest Son, Brooklyn, Also Didn't Follow Dad's Footsteps, and No Matter What, David Supported His Son

Like Cruz, Brooklyn is carving his own path, quite literally. Although Brooklyn started playing soccer at a young age, he stopped after he was released by the Arsenal Club when he turned 16. Although many expected David to be disappointed that his oldest child is quitting soccer, Brooklyn said the opposite was true:

"My dad wasn't sad, because he was like, I just want you to be happy. But of course I was sad. It was my whole life since I was literally two."

The oldest Beckham brother also admitted that living up to his father's legendary reputation was a daunting prospect, and he wasn't sure he would be able to do it. So, instead, he took up photography, although he didn't stick with it. These days, he's trying to make a name for himself as an amateur chef.

Amid Brooklyn's search to find something he could excel at, his dad has remained supportive. After Brooklyn quit soccer, his famous dad told him it didn't matter what he chose to do with his life. David only wants his kids to be happy.

These days, Brooklyn is garnering more attention with his cooking videos on social media, and although he doesn't claim to be a great cook, he isn't throwing in the towel. He wants to learn enough to open a successful pub in Los Angeles and hopefully break into reality TV later on.
