On February 1, 2023, Ozzy Osbourne took to his Instagram account to share an emotional update about his declining health and retirement from touring. The rock singer noted how he had an accident four years ago in January.

The star explained how he damaged his spine at the time, and his focus since then was for him to get back on stage. He revealed that his singing voice was still okay but had stem cell treatments, three operations, and physical therapy.

His most recent treatment was the groundbreaking Cybernetics (HAL), and his body was still weak. Ozzy said the post he shared was "one of the hardest things" he ever shared with his fans.

Sharon Osbourne's husband shared how humbled he'd been for everyone patiently holding on to their tickets. However, he'd realized that he was "not physically capable" of fulfilling his upcoming United Kingdom and Europe tour dates.

He said his team was working on ideas for where he could perform without traveling through different cities and countries. The Rock 'n Roll singer thanked his family, band, crew, longtime friends, and fans for:

He concluded his message by saying, "I love you all." Ozzy's touching note came after his daughter, Kelly Osbourne, nursed him back to life after his secret 17-year battle with a disease.

Daughter Kelly Slept near Intensive Care to Save Father's Life

In 2023, it was revealed that Ozzy once fell, aggravating a neck injury from a quad bike accident that happened 17 years ago. The injury triggered nerve damage from the accident that fractured eight ribs and a vertebra in his neck on his estate.

The musician underwent spinal surgery where he got 15 screws in his back. He also experienced pain in his back, neck, arms, and shoulders while fearing that he'd need bolts in his neck.

In the book "Fierce" about his daughter, Kelly, she revealed how she learned about her father's quad bike accident from uncle Tony. Ozzy was rushed to Wexham Park Hospital, and while traveling to see him, Kelly, then 21, was worried about the state her father was in.

The singer was intensive care and was wired to machines. The star's daughter felt helpless as she looked at him and was shivering with shaky legs as she wondered if her father was going to die.

A doctor asked Kelly to operate on the rock star as his main artery was punctured, leading to a block of blood supply in his left arm. The doctor said they had to get the blood back or amputate.

Ozzy's daughter kept pleading for the doctor to do all he could to save her father. Kelly was by her father's bedside, holding his hand when he flat-lined, and she was dragged out of the room before he was stabilized.

While the musician underwent surgery, his daughter slept at the hospital. The surgery was successful, and Kelly brought her father ice cream when he could eat it, which made him happy, and besides his injuries, he was now living with a debilitating disease.

That year, in 2003, as Kelly nursed her father back to health, Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, but he kept it a secret until 2020. The star also credited his wife for his survival.

On February 1, 2023, Sharon [Osbourne] uploaded an Instagram photo of herself looking emotional with her hand over her mouth.

Ozzy also singled out Kelly and shared his appreciation for her. On December 3, 2020, she shared several throwback images of herself and her father when she was a little girl and noted how she'd watched him overcome big obstacles daily.

Kelly said her father had become an even better parent to her and husband to Sharon through his trials. She felt lucky that they had him, and seeing how far he'd gone in the previous year was "insane," with her concluding:

"YOU ARE MY HERO. You are the real iron man. I love you dadda. I'm so proud to be your daughter."
