Pauline Sinclair Wanted to Be In 'Fast & Furious' Like Her Dad
Vin Diesel's daughter, Pauline Sinclair, was named after one of her father's closest friends and "Fast and Furious" co-star Paul Walker. The youngest of the Sinclair household is ready to join the world-famous franchise and play a younger version of her father's character.
Pauline's older brother, Vincent Sinclair, already received that honor when he appeared in "F9," and so did their older sister Hania Sinclair, who also took part in the making of "Fast & Furious Spy Racers" in 2019.
The Sinclair family prefers to keep their private lives away from public attention. Pauline's parents have been together since 2007. Although less popular, her mother is a well-respected model and actress.
When Was Pauline Born?
In February 2015, there was news that Diesel and his longtime girlfriend, Paloma Jiménez, were pregnant and expecting their child the following month. A source told The Hollywood Reporter that the newborn was expected to be delivered around the same time "Furious 7" would have been premiering.
On March 16, 2015, the movie star announced the birth of Pauline through a creative Facebook post. The post showed a picture of Diesel bent over his newborn, seemingly lying to her mother on the hospital bed. The now father of three captioned the post poetically, saying:
"I watch babies crying, I watch them grow. They will learn much more, Than I'll ever know. And I think to myself, What a wonderful world…"
Pauline's Father Named Her in Honor of the Late Paul Walker
After welcoming their latest addition, Diesel revealed that he named her Pauline. The name is a dedication to his late close friend and "Fast and Furious" star Paul Walker.
Walker tragically died on November 30, 2013, after the vehicle he was traveling in crashed and caught fire. His death was painful for many people, few more than Diesel, who had developed a close bond with the fallen actor.
Diesel noted that he believed Walker was in the room when baby Pauline was being delivered and giving her that name would ensure that he would always be there. It was a way to ensure his memory remained with the family.
Pauline Wanted to Join the "Fast & Furious" Franchise
While on the red carpet for the premiere of "F9," Diesel was asked about the possibility of Meadow Walker, Paul Walker's daughter, joining the cast for the franchise's future films.
In his response, he noted that his daughter Pauline also wanted to be in a "Fast and Furious" movie, playing a young Dom, her father's character. With the next film widely expected to be the last one for the fast-car movies, it seems the girls only have one shot at it.
Pauline Is the Youngest of Vin Diesel's Children
Besides Pauline, the youngest of Diesel's kids, there is also Vincent and Hania Sinclair. Hania, who is also referred to as Similce, is the oldest. She was born in 2008.
Vincent, the only boy in the Sinclair brood, followed two years later in 2010. Vincent already seems ready to follow in his father's footsteps after he made his film debut in "F9," playing the young version of his father's character, appearing in flashbacks.
Pauline's Parents Are Extremely Private about Their Relationship
Despite Diesel standing out as one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood and a popular figure on the planet, the happenings in his real life remain largely under wraps. He and Jiménez are very secretive about their family.
One thing that people agree about Diesel is the importance he puts on the family, both in the movies and in real life. Even some of his friends have become family as they have become closer.
Vin Diesel and Jiménez are said to have begun dating in 2007. Jiménez was born on August 22, 1983, in Acapulco, Mexico. She is well regarded in the acting and, more particularly, modeling circles.
The leader of the "Fast and Furious" gang famously equated his desire to keep his personal life out of media attention to greats from yesteryears, saying, "I'm not gonna put it out there on a magazine cover like some other actors. I come from the Harrison Ford, Marlon Brando, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino code of silence."
