Jadarius Jenkins Makes His Own Music - Facts about Jeezy's Son
Jeezy's son, Jadarius Jenkins, started following in his dad's footsteps as a teenager but stepped back out of respect for his dad's moment to shine. The pair's relationship was initially rocky after Jenkins accused his dad of physical abuse several years ago.
Jadarius Jenkins is the second of longtime rapper Jeezy's sons born from the rapper's first romance. His older brother is Shyheim, and his younger half-siblings are Amira and Monaco Jai, born from Jeezy's second and former relationship.
It's unclear what Jenkins' relationship with Jeezy looked like before his teens, but it endured a rough patch following accusations of physical abuse. Though it was Jenkins who claimed his father attacked him, Jeezy blamed his mom for "brainwashing" the youngster into making those accusations.

Thankfully, the matter was resolved, and Jenkins' relationship with Jeezy became warm and loving. The father of four ensured he invested in his son's future and celebrated his milestones. Now, Jenkins is a thriving musician with a story to tell.
Jadarius Jenkins Was Not a Model Student
Last year in April, Jenkins sat down with The Progress Report to speak about his career and upbringing. He drew his first breath in Macon, Georgia, on July 29, 1996, born to Jeezy's first ex-girlfriend, Tenesha Dykes.
His parents were not married at the time of his birth, and his dad was a few months shy of his 19th birthday. During his interview, the 26-year-old said he grew up in Macon but also had family all around the South area of Georgia, New York, and Atlanta.

When asked what kind of student he was, Jenkins admitted that he would skip school to spend time at a friend's house, making videos and music on FruityLoops. Still, he managed to keep his grades up to standard, and he graduated high school at RiverWood Academy in 2015.
Jeezy attended the ceremony and shared a photo, posing alongside Jenkins, who donned his graduation attire. Afterward, the 45-year-old gifted his son a $100,000 check and shared the moment on social media.
Growing up in the south of Georgia, Jenkins was surrounded by people who also led artistic pursuits and supported his own. He would spend time in the different regions, to which he ascribed an unpredictable nature, calling them a "street environment."
Still, Jenkins felt a sort of loyalty to his home state, saying the people there always showed love to him, even before his hip-hop career took off. He added that they appreciated the kind of "vibe" and "energy" his presence brought.
Jadarius Jenkins and Jeezy's Rocky Relationship
In 2014, news broke that Jeezy had turned himself in after being charged with physically assaulting his son following an intense altercation between the two. Official court documents revealed charges of battery, terrorist threats, and false imprisonment.
The alleged physical altercation began in the bathroom at Jeezy's house and continued to his bedroom. Jenkins tried to escape toward the staircase, but a bodyguard blocked his way. Jeezy reportedly followed the then-14-year-old and threatened to take his life.

Jeezy bonded out of jail for $45,000 after turning himself in to authorities. Shortly after the incident, which occurred in September 2012, he clarified that while there was an argument between him and Jenkins, it did not turn physical.
He only pushed Jenkins to the floor when he got in his face. Regarding the terrorist threats, Jeezy explained they were not as dire as they were made out to be. They were more along the lines of, "I brought you into this world, and I can take you out of it."
He further claimed that the allegations were part of Dyke's plot to get as much money out of him as she could, going as far as "brainwashing" Jenkins to be a part of it. Since the incident passed, Jenkins remained on good terms with his dad.
On his 21 birthday, Jeezy, who married Freddy Harteis' ex-wife Jeanie Mai in 2021, surprised Jenkins with a white Mercedes G-Wagon. Speaking about how it felt to grow up as a famous rapper's son, Jenkins said people on the outside thought all was well, but for him, "it was a battle."
Amid those circumstances, he faced "the harsh realities" that came with his father's fame. Although he acknowledged the privileges Jeezy's success afforded him, Jenkins still desired to build his own name and be his own man.
Jadarius Jenkins Is Now YB Landlord
In December 2018, Jenkins suffered facial injuries following a violent altercation that ended with gunfire and left a 37-year-old man dead. It was unclear what started the argument or what happened before it occurred.
An insider close to Jenkins claimed he acted out of self-defense, but that was the only detail provided about the conflict. Police also investigated two burglaries that occurred nearby, around the same time shots were fired, in connection to the deceased man.
While the experience was horrific, Jenkins drew inspiration from it and created the song "Soul Talk" under his stage name YB Landlord. The cover art for the song featured a picture of Jenkins lying on a hospital bed with a bandaged facial wound.
YB Landlord is Jenkins' current hip-hop stage name; however, he previously went by Young Boss. Once, the media also referred to him as Young Jeezy. He started making music at 14; however, seeing his father's booming success at that age, he decided to step back and wait for his time.
When he told Jeezy that he wanted to pursue a music career, Jeezy said following in his footsteps would be difficult. However, that didn't thwart Jenkins' determination. Not only is he a successful artist, but he also co-owns the record label T.W.O.
