Leslie Bogart Keeps Her Life under Wraps – Meet Lauren Bacall's Daughter
Leslie Bogart, Lauren Bacall's daughter, is the child of two Hollywood stars but chose to lead a quiet life helping people. However, Leslie Bogard does make public appearances or put pen to paper from time to time to celebrate her late parents and their legacies.
Leslie's career in the film industry seemed written in the stars as the daughter of two famous actors and named after a legend in the film industry. However, Leslie's passion lay elsewhere— in helping people.
Although she did not follow in her parent's footsteps, Leslie inherited her mother's love for jewelry, which they bonded over. Before her mother's passing, Leslie also experienced the loss of her father, Humphrey Bogart, at a very young age. However, she was able to honor him.

Leslie Is the Daughter of Two Stars Who Managed to Build a Private Life
Leslie was born on August 23, 1952, in Los Angeles, California, and her parents named her after one of her father's dear friends, Leslie Howard.
The actor refused to appear in "The Petrified Forest" in 1936 unless the studio signed Leslie's father to play Duke Mantee. As a token of gratitude, Leslie's father named her Leslie Howard Bogart after his good friend.
Leslie grew up in the world of fashion; by the time she was 16, she was coordinating outfits with her mother at high-end fashion shows. In her early years, Leslie had dreams of becoming a model. However, as she grew older, she enjoyed life out of the public eye as an emergency room nurse.

She had worked as a registered nurse throughout the 1970s and early 1980s. After relocating, Leslie focused on learning and teaching Hatha yoga, specializing in cardiac and chronic disease, joint replacements, and aging issues. She said:
"I have specialized in that work, especially in teaching yoga therapeutically in a group environment as well as privately, since 1987. I began studying with Gary Kaftsow in 1987 and value and respect, and appreciate his teaching and work today."
In 1997, Leslie appeared in front of the camera for an acting credit when she featured in her brother Stephen Bogart's film about their parents' lives, "Bogart: The Untold Story."
In 2014, Stephen tied the knot, and Leslie left her home in Los Angeles to celebrate her brother's wedding. It was Stephen's third marriage and his bride's second.

Although he shared the moment with Leslie and his half-brother, Stephen revealed that he was "devastated" his mother could not attend. Leslie had also tied the knot once with author and yoga enthusiast Erich Schiffman. However, it is unclear whether or not they are still married.
Leslie Remembers Her Mother for Her Love of Jewelry
In August 2014, Leslie's mother passed away at 89. Her brother confirmed the news of their mother's death, and documents revealed that Leslie's mother left her estate of $26.6 million to Leslie and her family.
Leslie's late mother left $10,000 for her beloved dog, Sophie, and $20,000 and $15,000 for two of her housekeepers. She also left $250,000 to each of her grandsons and named all her children as executors of her estate.

After Lauren Bacall's passing, Leslie reminisced about her mother's love for jewelry and wrote about the moments they would share when Lauren would teach Leslie about the clothes and jewelry she would wear. Leslie wrote:
"She adored pearls, particularly very big ones from Tahiti and the South Seas, and wanted me to as well. They were magnificent, without question, but a bit large and showy for my taste. No matter— Mother looked fantastic in them."
Leslie Had a Short Time with Her Father before His Death
Leslie was five years old at the time of Humphrey Bogart's passing; however, in 1997, she was able to honor his passing and his successful career when she attended the unveiling of his postage stamp during a red carpet ceremony in Hollywood.
Leslie was joined by her mother, brother, and the public for the special occasion, and Humphrey's ex-wife said, "I think he would have been impressed with the fact that he was on a stamp. It's extraordinary."
