Sadie Pierson is the daughter of actress Cassandra Peterson, who has had a cult following for her character Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, since the 80s. Despite her mother's fame, Sadie Peterson had a surprisingly normal childhood.

Born into a showbiz family and as beautiful as her famous mother, Sadie never manifested an interest in acting. Still, she has chosen a creative career that connects with Elvira's world.

Sadie Pierson was born on October 12, 1994. Her parents are actress Cassandra Peterson and singer and producer Mark Pierson. The couple married in 1981 and welcomed Sadie fourteen years into their marriage.

By then, Sadie's mom was already world-famous for her Elvira persona, and her dad was her manager. Unfortunately, Sadie's parents divorced when she was eight years old, on Valentine's Day, 2003.

Sadie Pierson Was Always without Her Mom on Halloween

Halloween is one of the children's favorite holidays, but Sadie never got to go trick-or-treating with her mom. On Halloween, the actress was always booked up with appearances as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. The actress explained:

"She'd go with friends, but I never never got to hang out with her on Halloween. I did help with her costumes, though, which meant that early on, she was Elvira, too—I just thought it was adorable to have a little Elvira."

Sadie's connection to Holywood celebrity doesn't end there. Part of the family myth is that actor Brad Pitt almost delivered her. The A-lister wanted to buy Cassandra Petrson's house and visited when she was nine months pregnant with Sadie, shortly before she went into labor.

Sadie Found Herself in a Creative Profession

According to her mom, Sadie was never very keen on horror movies, but it was the family business. Sadie's parents produced the "Elvira" movies, and her mom co-wrote the scripts.

Sadie did get several shoutouts from Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, on her program, thanking her, and appeared there as a baby. Later on, as a teen, Sadie seemed to be following in her dad's footsteps and loved singing and playing the guitar, but she became a makeup artist instead.

Sadie's Mom Is Not Perfect

In her book, "Yours Cruelly, Elvira: Memoirs of the Mistress of the Dark," Cassandra Peterson made some startling revelations, one of which is that she doesn't think she was a perfect mom.

Peterson's unhappy relationship with her mother made her afraid that she would go on to be abusive with her own child. Peterson now berates herself for overcompensating and overprotecting Sadie. She said:

"I’m not a perfect mom. I think I went kind of the other way sometimes and didn’t let my child experience having to do things on their own."

From age nine, Sadie lived with her mother and her partner after her parent's divorce. Peterson shared that she has been in a relationship with a woman for two decades. Her partner is Teresa "T" Wierson, a personal trainer the actress met at her gym. The actress wrote:

"When I was doing my pre-workout warm-up on the treadmill, I couldn't help noticing one particular trainer — tan, tattooed and muscular (....) a typical sexy bad boy."

The trainer wasn't a bad boy but a woman. Peterson, who had dated Elvis Presley and Tom Jones and never felt attracted to women, was stunned to find herself falling in love with Wierson at 50.

The actress was afraid to come out to her fans, thinking she might damage Elvira's mystique, but she was stunned to discover that while she had lost 10,000, she gathered 60,000 new followers following her revelation.
