Jordan Cephus Is Offset's Oldest Son He Does Not Share with His Wife
Offset's son, Jordan Cephus, was born when the rapper was only 17 years old with no job. His mother, Justine Watson, ended up suing Offset because of child support.
Jordan Cephus is the eldest of Offset's children with different women. At a young age, Jordan was already introduced to the spotlight and appeared on a magazine cover.
Although his father is famous in the music industry, little is known about the rapper's son. Jordan grew up in a blended family with his father and Cardi B.
Jordan Was Born When His Father Was 17
Jordan was born on December 21, 2009, to Kiari Kendrell Cephus, better known as Offset, and Justine Watson, the singer's ex-girlfriend. The Migos member was only 17 when he had Jordan, but he tried to become a good father.
In 2022, Jordan's dad celebrated his birthday with a sweet tribute on social media alongside several photos of the celebrant throughout the years. The caption read:
"Can't believe I have a 13yr old [firstborn]. [My] King you turned me into a man at 17. I love you son [sic]."
Offset previously turned his experience becoming a teen dad into a song called "Father of 4." In the lyrics, he mentioned that he was still trying to find himself and make ends meet when Jordan entered his life. He also apologized to Jordan on the track, claiming he was absent during some milestones.
"The journey of fatherhood was kind of tough for me at first," Offset also admitted in an interview. The challenges continued until he became a professional singer. Because of tours and demanding work schedules, he found it hard to spend time with his kids.
Jordan's Mother Sued His Father
When Jordan was seven, his mother sued his father for child support. Watson claimed Offset gave some financial aid but rarely contributed to their son's expenses, including education, medicines, and recreational activities.
Watson demanded retroactive child support, given Offset's estimated net worth was already millions of dollars. The rapper agreed to have an official court order but refused to pay Watson's legal fees. He also sought joint legal and physical custody of his son and wanted Jordan to carry his last name.
Jordan Was on a Magazine Cover
In 2017, Cardi B became Jordan's stepmother. He and his whole family appeared on the cover of Essence magazine for its May/June 2022 issue.
According to Cardi, her stepson is "quiet and observant," traits that her husband has as well. "They're paying attention, and they're analyzing everything," she added.
A few months later, Jordan was seen in Cardi's Instagram posts celebrating her son, Wave's first birthday. According to the "Open It Up" rapper, it was essential and mandatory for all his kids to be present during the event.
He also called himself lucky to have a wonderful wife who accepted all his children like hers. "It's mandatory they all celebrate with each other and grow up with each other because they love each other. They talk to each other on the phone all the time, and it's just beautiful," Offset said.
Jordan Is His Father's First Child but Not the Last
Besides Wave, Jordan also has other half-siblings. In 2015, Jordan became an older brother with the birth of Kody, Offset's son with Oriel Jamie. Jordan later had his first sister, Kalea, whose mother was Shya L'Amour.
Offset shares two kids with Cardi B, Kulture Kiari and Wave. Shortly after Wave Cephus' birth, the proud parents shared photos of their child, and fans couldn't get enough of the newborn. The "WAP" songstress has shared several photos of her son since and praised Offset for being an amazing father.
