Evgenia Citkowitz's husband, Julian Sands, embarked on a hike on January 13 in Mt. Baldy, California; however, the actor's whereabouts currently remain a mystery. San Bernardino County authorities are still looking for the British native.

As rescue efforts trudge on, the authorities are hopeful for his return, but they noted that it's "not typical" for survivors to turn up alive after a long time; Julian has been gone for a little over six weeks now.

Moreover, as the weather conditions have been extreme atop Mt Baldy, with over 20 rescues as of February 10, rescue efforts have been prolonged due to the threat of avalanches. A few of Julian's close companions, including his brother, Nick, and his friend, actor Kevin Ryan, have spoken about the tragic matter.

While Kevin was hopeful that Julian would return, saying he was an "extremely advanced hiker," Nick had already given up hope that he would see his brother again. Still, Julian's wife and children have yet to speak publicly about their missing loved one.

Who Is Julian Sands?

Julian drew his first breath in West Yorkshire, England, on January 4, 1958, born to Brenda Sands, a former secretary, and William Sands, an agricultural soil surveyor. He graduated from the Central School of Speech and Drama in London before joining the Forum Theater Company.

Following his days performing on stage, Julian entered the TV screens, starring in the 1984 mini-series "The Sun Also Rises." The year before, he had appeared alongside Anthony Hopkins in the drama series "A Married Man."

While those roles got him noticed, Julian received much acclaim for his later performances in "Arachnophobia," co-starring with Anna Beth Goodman's husband John Goodman, his portrayal of Shelley in 1986's "Gothic," in Steve Miner's "Warlock," and the sequel, "Warlock: The Armageddon."

Although Julian rarely spoke of his family, he briefly mentioned them in a May 2020 interview with The Guardian. When asked what he owed his parents the most, he credited them for encouraging him to pursue his passion for the arts despite working in completely different fields from their son.

Who Is Julian Sands's Wife, Evgenia Citkowitz?

Evgenia is a New York-born author and journalist who drew her first breath sometime in 1968. She grew up in London and pursued a degree in English Literature at Oxford University. She then worked for publishing giants, including London Magazine and The Sunday Times.

In 2018, she released her mystery novel "The Shades," about a couple experiencing the aftermath of losing their daughter and were now left with their son. Things initially took a turn when a strange woman entered their lives; however, her arrival only marked the beginning of a mystery unraveling.

It's unclear when Evgenia's romance with Julian began, but she tied the knot with him in 1990. Her husband had been married previously to Sarah Sands from 1984, after a decade of dating, but the former couple divorced in 1987.

Julian Sands Has Three Children

During his chat with The Guardian, Julian reflected on what he considered his worst job, revealing it was when he played Father Christmas at a department store. He explained that he found the "plaintive sadness" of the children's unrealistic requests "unbearable."

He welcomed his first child, son Henry Sands, with his first wife in 1985. After marrying Evgenia, the pair had two more daughters, Natalya Morley Sands, born in August 1996, and their youngest, Imogen Morley Sands, in 1999.

When asked how he wanted to be remembered, Julian only thought of his children. He told the publication that he hoped Henry, Imogen, and Natalya would remember him "as an interesting and amusing father."
