Makani Ravello Harrelson Has Acted in Movies - Facts about Woody Harrelson's Daughter

After the birth of their eldest daughter, Woody Harrelson and his wife welcomed their youngest girl, Makani Ravello Harrelson, over ten years later. Unlike her older sisters, Makani Ravello Harrelson has not steered clear of the public eye and already has an acting credit under her belt.

The daughter of a multi-Emmy award-nominated actor, Makani showed signs she might follow in her father's footsteps and pursue a career in the Hollywood film industry.

She garnered over six thousand followers on social media at the time of writing, unlike her older sisters, who have avoided the spotlight most of their lives. Even though Makani is nearing turning 18, Woody shows he is still protective of his little girl as he defended her against an intoxicated man.

Makani Ravello Harrelson Is the Youngest Child in the Family

Makani's parents met in the late 1980s following the end of her father's first marriage and her mother landing a job as Woody's assistant. On June 3, 2006, Makani's parents announced her birth and shared:

"In this crazy patriarchal world we live in, we are doing our part to balance the energy. We are proud to announce the completion of our goddess trilogy with the birth of our third daughter, Makani Ravello, born on June 3rd."

While Makani's mother's side of the family is of Asian descent, her father is of English, Scottish, German, and distant Dutch and Welsh ancestry.

Following the end of her father's first marriage, the actor revealed that he did not believe in the sentiment of marriage. However, he could not deny his immediate connection with Makani's mother; by 2008, they were husband and wife.

In 2020, the married actor of three took to Instagram of himself positioned to appear to have a rainbow spewing out of his mouth, and in the caption, he quoted Makani's witty words, "As my daughter, Makani says, 'On bad days barf rainbows then you will feel better.'"

Makani Ravello Posts a TikTok Video

At the time of writing, Makani had amassed over six thousand followers on TikTok, where she shared videos of her life— including a clip of a Harry Styles concert.

Outside of her social media presence, Makani tried her hand at acting when she shared the silver screen with her father— whose acting career has seen him work with Mahershala Ali and Jennifer Lawrence— and appeared in the 2017 film "Lost in London."

After kickstarting her acting career, fellow actor Sadie Sink referred to Makani and her father as her "good friends" when she took to Twitter and wrote, "Hi everyone Find a theatre and go see my good friends Makani and Woody Harrelson make cinematic history tomorrow!"

In 2018, Makani received an additional taste of the life of an actor when she accompanied her father to the 90th Annual Academy Awards.

Makani Has a Protective Father

Although she is very active and social media and appears in public with her parents— including a family outing in Italy in 2018— Makani's father proved he was still very protective of his daughter when, according to police reports, he punched a man who was taking pictures of the teenager.

According to those who witnessed the altercation, Woody punched an intoxicated man after asking him to delete pictures he had taken of Makani. When the man refused and became aggressive, the interaction turned physical. In the past, Makani's father had spoken about how much his family meant to him when he said:

"No one who's as lucky as I am has a right to be cynical. Luckily, I have my family, which makes me hopeful."

Following their first encounter in 1987, Makani's parents welcomed their eldest daughter, Deni Montana Harrelson, in 1994. Their second child, Zoe Giordano Harrelson, followed on September 22, 1996. Bar the rare public appearance, Makani's sisters have maintained a low profile and were homeschooled.

In 2015, Zoe landed a role in the short film "U2: Song for Someone" alongside her father and delivered a Ted Talk about the importance of "[disconnecting] from phones" at her high school that same year.
