Dulcy Rogers is the longtime wife of a famous actor. While Roger's husband has a successful acting career, she is also an accomplished actress and performs in modern theatre.

Dulcy has been married to Diedrich Bader since 1997, and they share two children. While her husband is a celebrated actor, Dulcy is also successful in her own right.

She has acting credits on IMDb and is famously known for her roles in the 1999 drama/comedy film "Certain Guys," and the 2007 comedy film "Sunny & Share Love you."

Dulcy Rogers Became a Performer as It Was Her 'Family Business'

Dulcy followed in her parents' footsteps; she revealed that the older couple inspired her to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Her father, David Rogers, wrote the book and lyrics for 1978 musical "Charlie and Algernon" and her mother, June L. Walker Rogers was a comedienne and dancer.

Dulcy and Diedrich, one of the "American Housewife" cast members, met in 1987 and dated for eleven years before tying the knot in 1998.

Even though Dulcy chose to become a writer and performer, she disclosed that she wanted to become a geologist while in college. Still, her father dismissed the idea and persuaded her to focus her career on entertainment to preserve the family business. Speaking to Daily News, she said:

"In a way, becoming a performer and a writer was a way of preserving the family business."

Dulcy Rogers Refused an Attractive Offer to Follow Her Dream

After Dulcy graduated from Yale, she moved to New York in 1987 to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. She improved her acting skills while performing in theatres and paid her bills by appearing in commercials and taking bit parts in movies.

Dulcy eventually landed a role as Laura in the repertory production of "The Glass Menagerie," which made her famous. Even though Dulcy had risen to fame, she still struggled to make ends meet. Determined to get a breakthrough in her acting career, Dulcy never hesitated whenever an opportunity presented itself.

When she heard that Disney was looking for someone to co-host the "Mickey Mouse Club," Dulcy grabbed the opportunity and prepared for auditions. After passing, Dulcy was asked to fly to Florida for a screen test, and if everything went as planned, she would begin working the following day.

She consulted her father, who was excited about the opportunity, and he encouraged her to take the offer as it was a well-paying job. The idea of relocating to a different state for too long didn't sit well with Dulcy, and she eventually declined the offer.

Over the next few weeks, Dulcy tried auditioning for different jobs, but nothing came through. Even so, she never gave up and still believed in her dream. She eventually landed roles in several films and has acting credits on IMDb.

In 2012, Dulcy performed her self-written play "I Am a Tree." She also wrote scripts for TV shows like "Caroline Rhea & Friends."

Dulcy Rogers Married Diedrich Bader and Became a Mother of Two Children

Dulcy and Diedrich, one of the "American Housewife" cast members, met in 1987 and dated for eleven years before tying the knot in 1998.

The couple has been together for over two decades and shares two children, a daughter named Ondine Caolila and their son Sebastian Bader. In 2017, Diedrich and their daughter Caolila were spotted at a red carpet-event.
