Influencer Jen Selter Shows off Enviable Body in Workout Outfit While Sharing Her Smoothie Recipe in Video
If it's smoothie o'clock in your gym's time zone, Jen Selter has posted a revitalizing new recipe she makes in the morning when she's "craving something refreshing and sweet." It's so delicious that she popped a straw in the tie-dye print blender in the clip.
Influencer Jen Selter, dressed in apricot midriff-bearing workout gear, said in an Instagram post from March 9, 2023, that she sometimes switches out her beloved warm breakfasts with her go-to Selter smoothies, like a mango banana smoothie.
Before the fitness maven could add a scoop of collagen to a concoction of frozen mango, strawberries, banana, and coconut milk, an alarm went off, followed by a voice announcing it was a false alarm. She also has excellent instructions for a Choc Dream blend, and a strawberry, lime, and watermelon drink.
Jen Selter Used Fitness as a Stress Reliever after Starting Her Journey in High School
As a teenager, Selter felt overwhelmed by having to make plans after graduating high school, and faced other personal challenges. Her part-time job as a gym receptionist gave her access to stress-relieving exercise equipment.
Selter had Weinstein join her in the gym three to four times a week.
Needing extra motivation, as long-time fitness fanatics surrounded her, she slowly began building a social media community with 13.6 million Instagram followers.
Jen Selter Once Helped Her Mom Get into Shape & Get Abs
When she is not inspiring millions, the self-proclaimed OG influencer helps closer to home. The twenty-something wrote in a health column for The New York Post that her 46-year-old mom, Jill Weinstein, had better abs than she did.
Weinstein asked her daughter in the summer of 2013 to help her get in shape. Selter began the process by addressing her mother's unhealthy eating habits, trading out cheeseburger dinners at 10 p.m. with grilled chicken and salad at 7 p.m.
Selter had Weinstein join her in the gym three to four times a week, and they walked at least 2.5 miles a day. She wrote that their go-to exercises to target abs were "exercise-ball crunches, step-ups with weights, and leg throw-downs."
The businesswoman has pivoted her hobby into a fitness company. She claims on her Fitplan website that she popularized the "belfie" and "Seltering" poses. Jojo Leonard, Austin Theory's influencer ex, is partially fond of the belfie, aka a photo one takes of one's buttocks.
