Dylan Scott Is Married to His Childhood Sweetheart Blair Robinson, Who Inspired His Song ‘My Girl’

Dylan's song "My Girl" was written for Blair, the girl he fell in love with in high school. The singer revealed the story behind the song's inspiration, which started with Blair rapping Eminem's "Lose Yourself":

"I sat down to write a song about it, and at the time, I just put a few lines about rapping Eminem down. The more I thought about it, I wanted to call it 'My Girl' and have it be all the things I see in my girl that no one else gets to see."

The two started dating when Dylan was 15 and Blair was 16, but it wasn't always easy, especially after he left for Nashville to become a country singer.

Another Dylan Scott song, "New Truck," tells a different story about his relationship with Blair: their brief breakup. The singer was devastated to believe he'd lost his only love, but the couple got back together and married in 2016. Dylan said:

"Marriage is different than dating. It's different living with somebody. Just be patient and talk through things. Keep in mind that [she's] your best friend, and you have to treat it that way."

Dylan's song "Nobody" celebrates his marriage to Blair and the family they have built together. The whole family was featured in the video, and the lyrics are a tribute to their love.

"Happy Father's Day, babe! I couldn't have ask for a better daddy to our babies! We love you!"
