Jamie Foxx Still Misses Late Sister DeOndra Dixon 'Terribly': 'I Love U Forever'

Jamie Foxx celebrated World Down Syndrome Day with an Instagram tribute to his sister, DeOndra Dixon, who was born with the condition. Foxx and DeOndra had a close relationship, and he often credited her for bringing light into his life. Sadly, DeOndra died in 2020.

It has been two years since Jamie Foxx's sister, DeOndra Dixon, passed away, but the "Blame It" singer still feels the same pain.

He recently posted several photos of his sister in honor of World Down Syndrome Day, as she struggled with the same condition for many years.

It brings Foxx solace knowing his sister is in heaven, spreading joy and happiness as she did on earth. "I miss you terribly, but I know that your soul is shining bright. I love u forever," he captioned the post.

Foxx often pays tribute to DeOndra on Instagram, especially during special occasions. In September 2022, he celebrated her birthday with a sweet post that featured a photo of him hugging her. Although he still can't believe she is gone, the singer believes God wanted DeOndra with him in heaven.

He shared another touching post in October 2020, admitting he missed DeOndra but knew she was spreading happiness elsewhere.

In October 2020, Foxx announced the passing of his 36-year-old sister. He posted the heartbreaking news on Instagram, writing about the pain DeOndra's death has brought upon his family.

Foxx described his sister as a warm and jolly person who had the ability to turn a bad day into a good one. She also deeply admired Chris Brown and loved dancing to his songs.

Before her passing, DeOndra was a Special Olympics athlete and a Global Down Syndrome ambassador. She was known in the foundation for her intelligence, kindness, and yearly presence at the Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show.

Global Down Syndrome Foundation honored DeOndra during her passing and remembered her as the first recipient of the Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award.

Jamie Foxx Has Another Sister

Besides DeOndra, Foxx has another sister named Deidra. Like her brother, Deidra built a career in the entertainment industry but worked as a makeup artist and stylist behind the scenes.

She has contributed to the success of some notable films, including "Black Panther," " "Avengers: Endgame," "Sleepless," "The Soloist," "Marshall," and "Horrible Bosses."

Like DeOndra, Deidra also shares a close relationship with her Jamie Foxx and previously lived with him and DeOndra in California.
