How Cheryl Ladd and Her Husband Blend Their Families?
Ladd and Russell have been married for an impressive 42 years, but he was not her first husband. The actress was first married to David Ladd in 1973, and they share a daughter, Jordan Ladd, who was born in 1975.

Ladd and David divorced in 1980, but the actress decided to keep his last name. A year later, in 1981, Ladd married Russell, who works as a music producer.
Just like Ladd, Russel also has a daughter, Lindsay, from his previous marriage with Brenda Russell. However, the couple never had children of their own.
In a documentary about Ladd from 1999, Russell opened up about why they decided not to have kids together. Russell recalled that at the beginning of their marriage, Jordan struggled to adjust to him because it felt like a betrayal to her biological father.
So, in fear of what having children would do to their two daughters, Ladd and Russell, they decided to focus on bringing their family together in harmony.

Therefore, Russell expressed, "We brought these two little girls and thrusted them into this maelstrom, and if we brought our baby into this mix, what would this do to their security?"
In the same documentary, Lindsay and Jordan got to speak about their own experiences of the transition. Jordan admitted that the process was challenging, and Lindsay added that it was vital for them to be treated equally.
However, after putting in the work, Lindsay acknowledged that Ladd was as much of a mother to her as Russell was a father to Jordan. Both sisters credited the couple for being great parents.
Ladd spoke about her daughters and the great relationship they have. She said Jordan, now 48, will always be her little girl and best friend. The actress referred to Lindsay as her other daughter and revealed that she had called her her "bonus mom" since she was four.

Ladd and Russell's daughters both built careers in the entertainment industry. Lindsay is an actress and a singer. She is famous for her roles in "Last Holiday," "Las Vegas," and a recent 2022 film, "What Remains."

Lindsay also married Jonas Walker in 2005, and they have three children together; however, their union ended in 2018.
Jordan also followed in her mother's footsteps. She looks like a replica of her mother, but she usually does not embrace her natural blond hair because she does not want to just be known as Cheryl Ladd's daughter.
Therefore, as she built her acting career, Jordan constantly dyed her hair dark which is seen in some of her films like "The Special" and "Never Been Kissed." But for her recent movie, "Cabin Fever," Jordan let out her blond strands.
She was also married to Conor O'Neill, but their marriage was short-lived. The two tied the knot in 2001 and went their separate ways in 2005.
In the years Jordan and Lindsay spent growing up together, they built a close-knit relationship. Jordans posted a picture of her "Sissies," as she called her, and expressed how lucky she felt to have her as a sister.
Besides watching her daughters grow closer, Ladd is also over the moon about her four-decade marriage and being a grandmother of three. "I love being a grandmother!" she gushed.
Ladd admitted that blending a family was not easy, but eventually, she ended up with a beautiful brood. She even said one of the perks of it was being gifted with three amazing grandchildren, Nehemiah, Judah, and Kailah."
Ladd also remembered the time she had an empty nest. She admitted that she was on two opposite sides of the spectrum. On one end, she found herself in bed crying and yelling, "I miss the girls" on the other hand, she would tell her husband, "Honey, we can run around naked!"
