Marisol Nichols is commonly known for her role in "Riverdale;" however, in a recent Instagram post, the actress gave fans a sneak peek at her life off-camera, enjoying a Sunday in and reading following her departure from the hit series.

On April 3, Nichols shared a picture of herself spending her Sunday reading on her couch in jeans and a cozy blanket. "Sunday feels," the actress, who looked relaxed with her hair loose, captioned the post. In the comments section, one fan praised the actress for her good looks, commenting, "So pretty, Marisol."

Another fan shared the same sentiment, and wrote, "Looking absolutely amazing and extravagant. You have a passion for fashion, hun. Hope you have a great day." While a third fan simply stated, "Gorgeous," a fourth humorously typed, "Every time I see your circular mirror, I think of 'Star Wars,' haha."

Nichols started her acting career with appearances in "Beverly Hills 90210," "Friends," and "ER." Her film debut came when she landed the role of Audrey Griswald in "Vegas Vacation" alongside Chevy Chase. Her acting credits include "Scream 2," "Can't Hardly Wait," "Bowfinger," and Jane Austen's "Mafia & Felon." Her recent projects have also seen her share the screen with Jenna Ortega and Chris Rock, but her most well-known role has been as Hermione Lodge on the CW multi-award-winning drama series, "Riverdale."

However, her departure from the show came before the series' fourth season was released, and she said, "I had an incredible time bringing Hermione Lodge to life and working with my amazing cast, who became family. We had so many wonderful times together during the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. We really do have the best fans ever. I am looking forward to the next chapter and am excited about the future."

Nichols' acting career has not slowed down since leaving "Riverdale," and she has managed to balance her work with her humanitarian efforts to fight for the rights of young girls and women. The actress founded the non-profit, Foundation for a Slavery Free World, and has fought to eradicate human trafficking.

In 2017, former President Barack Obama awarded Marisol Nichols the President's Distinguished Volunteer Service Award for her service to the community. Sony Pictures has also recently bought the rights to Nichols' life story and are adapting it for a television series she will executively produce.
