Roseanne Barr Celebrates Passover With Family Without Makeup Despite Fan Calling Her Face ‘Saggy'
- Roseanne Barr is not shy about appearing makeup-free, although her skin has drawn a lot of fan backlash.
- After difficulties in her career, she is now a happy grandma of seven grandchildren.
Actress Roseanne Barr became a household name after starring in the hit show, "Roseanne," which aired from 1988 to 1997. ABC revived the popular sitcom in 2018.
During that year, Barr tweeted a racist post that later led to her being canceled as an overall entertainer, and ultimately, she was axed from the television show.

The series was rebranded as "The Connors," killing off her matriarchal role. Barr, who is also a comedian, is reportedly set to stage a comedy comeback following the controversy.
The Utah native became a stand-up comedian in 1980 and took a career hiatus in recent years after backlash about her tweet. She got candid about the experience in a February 2023 interview and said:
"I've survived. I've come out on the other side of it, finally. But it was a witch-burning. And it was terrifying."

Following her removal from "Roseanne," Barr's mental state became apparent. She said she realized she had a mental health problem after being let go.
The producer revealed in 1994 that she had been diagnosed with a dissociative identity disorder and claimed she was unfairly dismissed from "Roseanne," adding:
"I'm the only person who's lost everything, whose life's work was stolen, stolen by people who I thought loved me."
Amid news of her return to showbiz, Barr was reportedly unrecognizable years after being booted out of her show. She now has a slim appearance and looks different from her “Roseanne” days.
The writer ditched her brunette curls for a light blonde hairdo and now wears her locks sleek and straight past her shoulders.
Barr's Face Sparks Fan Reactions in Family Photos
Barr recently marked Passover with her family in Texas and shared a video of her and her loved ones having dinner. She posted two more photos on her Instagram, showing two family members and herself in the third image.
The TV legend wore a denim dress with a black T-shirt underneath for the occasion. "Hosted Passover with my Texas Fam! #rabbiroseanne," she captioned her post.

In the picture, Barr was photographed standing behind a table, widely smiling with her messy hair and no makeup. While sporting the laid-back look, some fans criticized her in the comments section.
One person wrote, "Happy Passover, Roseanne. The 3rd pic had me rolling," alongside laughing emojis. Another Instagram user commented, "Roseanne has a saggy hog face."

But despite the adverse reactions, other social media users had some positive remarks. "Love you, Roseanne, those plates are beautiful," said one individual. While another penned, "Happy Passover to Roseanne and your family!!"
Barr previously weighed 350 lbs and underwent gastric bypass surgery in 1998. She openly talked about the experience in 2007 and revealed doctors removed her "entire digestive system."
The award-winning Hollywood star is one of the celebrities who have been transparent about their weight loss journey over the years. She has also had a tummy tuck and breast reduction in the past.
"Nips and tucks are okay if people feel they want to do that. It comes from feeling insecure, though. It's like a walking ad for 'insecure'" said Barr.
Barr Improved Relations With Her Daughter After Reform School: Now She Is a Caring Grandma
Despite losing her matriarch stint in "Roseanne," Barr still plays that role in real life. She is a mother of five children, daughters: Brandi, Jennifer, Jessica, and sons Buck and Jack.
Barr's youngest daughter, Jennifer Pentland, was only in seventh grade when she rose to fame thanks to her show, "Roseanne."
Consequently, the Emmy Award winner's newfound success had a negative impact on her child, who started to act rebellious once she became a fixture in Hollywood.
Barr subsequently shipped Jennifer to several facilities for troubled teens, including psychiatric institutions, reform schools, and a wilderness boot camp. She was in and out of those places from ages 13 until 18.
The mother and daughter duo's relationship was fractured throughout the years, but they have since mended fences. Jennifer gave an update about their current relationship in a January 2022 interview:
"We communicate at all costs. Even if it's uncomfortable, annoying, or the time is bad, that's the priority."
Barr is now a proud grandmother of seven grandkids. In March 2018, she admitted that becoming a grandparent after "Roseanne" went off air significantly changed her life. In July 2021, the Golden Globe Award winner posted a sweet photo of her youngest grandchild on Instagram.
The little one was pictured making a funny face, and her famous grandmother wrote, "Mini Me 'my husband said he needed more space, so I locked him outside!' Attitude."
Barr spends quality time with her grandchildren. In December 2022, "The Roseanne Show" alum shared a clip of her and her granddaughter dancing and captioned it, "Dance party."
