Mick Mars' Wife Seraina Schönenberger Once Participated in Miss Zurich
Seraina Schönenberger, who entered Mick Mars' life following a series of tumultuous relationships, shares more than love with her beau. Like the longtime MÖTLEY CRÜE guitarist, Schönenberger has several artistic abilities of her own and was once a beauty queen.
Seraina Schönenberger will mark her tenth wedding anniversary with Mick Mars later this year, but the lovers have been together for much longer. She became his partner after an unsuccessful marriage and a former romance that ended with a legal battle in the late 2000s.
The couple became inseparable following their first encounter, as Schönenberger would accompany her husband's band on tours, and her family welcomed him with open arms. Coming from one that doesn't frown upon body modification or the arts, Schönenberger's talents, which include cooking and photography, have flourished.

Seraina Schönenberger Is a Creative Person
Schönenberger — a former beauty queen like Ria Sommerfield and Catherina Lodders — was born in late 1983, hailing from Zurich, Switzerland, where she once contended to be Miss Zürich. She has a younger sister, Alina Schönenberger, a musician and producer who works under the pseudonym Lina Layne.
The identity of their parents is unknown, but the 39-year-old shares a loving bond with them. On 2016's Mother's Day, Schönenberger not only celebrated her love for her mom, but she also sent a shoutout to her dad, as she tweeted, "happy mother's day to the best mom one could ever hope for. (...and dad's just as awesome!)! I LOVE YOU BOTH TONS."
Like Mars, Schönenberger can play the guitar. She once posted a throwback photo from 2010 in 2014, depicting 23-year-old Schönenberger holding her husband's "precious strat." Referring to the amps stacked against the wall behind her, she quipped, "not plugged in bc i blew one of those up before [wide smile emoji]. (sic)."
Schönenberger also keeps herself busy with several hobbies. She often showcases her culinary skills with wonderful delights on Instagram, including wood oven-baked pizza, pasta, ravioli, and bread. She also has a passion for the arts, including handcrafted artwork and photography — she has a separate page where she posts her work.
Mick Mars Met His Future Wife during a Concert
It was in June 2007, and MÖTLEY CRÜE was playing in Switzerland. Schönenberger appeared in the band's "Saints of Los Angeles" music video and traveled with them on tour. According to some sources, she described her first encounter with Mars as "love at first sight" and remarked that perhaps marriage was in the cards for them.
And indeed, it was. The couple tied the knot on December 13, 2013. When they celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary, Schönenberger called Mars her "super soulmate" as she wished him a happy one. Her family also bonded with Mars, sealing their love for their son-in-law with matching tattoos in January 2016.
Mick Mars' Previous Relationships Have Been Troubled
Mars married Emi Canyn in 1990, but the couple divorced only three years later following infidelity on Canyn's end. It was an emotionally and financially draining process for the guitarist, but it came to pass. His former wife died in 2017 at her Lacey, Washington, home.
Mars moved on to documentary filmmaker Robbie Mantooth. The two met while she worked at the production offices during one of the band's tours. Mars arranged to meet her in her hometown of Tennessee, and the pair returned together to Los Angeles afterward.

Their romance ended in December 2004, but legal battles ensued in the following years. Mars sued Mantooth in November 2006 after previously settling another legal dispute in which he had to finish paying a $300,000 balance in monthly payments.
In exchange, Mantooth had to remain tight-lipped about his financial details, but she violated that agreement. She tried to use those details to acquire $80,000 via a collection agency to pay off a debt, claiming Mars had agreed. But the judge ruled in his favor in February 2009.
Mars' love life isn't the only one that has faced upheaval. Others connected to MÖTLEY CRÜE, including the band's frontman Vince Niel, and Heather Locklear, who was previously married to two late MÖTLEY CRÜE members (Tommy Lee, whose sister is a drummer, and Richie Sambora), also had their share of challenges.
