'Rapunzel Let Down Your Hair': Mariska Hargitay Pokes Fun at Bald Chris Meloni
"Law and Order" actors Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni have shown their sense of humor during playful exchanges on social media. And in a recent Instagram post, Hargitay had her fans in stitches after teasing her bald co-star.
Taking to Instagram to share a picture of Meloni looking out a window, Hargitay humorously captioned the post, "Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your hair...," teasing her bald co-star. The good-natured teasing did not stop there, as Hargitay also captioned the post with the hashtags, #WhatHair #SmirksForDays #KingOfTheCastle #ICanSeeMyMeloniFromHere #SpyingStabler #CrossoverComing #SVUOC #RoomWithAView."
It was not the first hair joke the "Law and Order" actors had up their sleeves, as in 2021, Meloni posted a view of himself ironically shaking his hair with Hargitay. "Set the hair, get the swag goin, AND pose! Partners help partners wrap a season (sic)," he captioned the post.
Although Meloni is often a good sport when it comes to jokes about his hair— or lack thereof— he had a witty response to a social media user who made a jab at the actor about him being bald. "Thoughts on your disappearing hairline? @Chris_Meloni," a person tweeted, to which Meloni wittily responded, "Grass don't grow on a busy road (sic)."
With or without hair, Meloni has stayed good-looking over the years and sent fans into a frenzy with a video of him getting a haircut. The actor shared a video of himself– filmed in the mirror– freshly shaven, and one fan commented, "There was no reason for this video to be this hot." "Even something as simple as a haircut …. If Chris is in it, you BETTER BELIEVE it is 🔥🔥🔥," another person shared.
After landing the role of Elliot Stabler and sharing the screen with Hargitay, who plays Olivia Benson on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," Chris Meloni and Hargitay became fan favorites. And on April 7, Meloni took to Instagram to post a slideshow of behind-the-scenes selfies with Mariska Hargitay, announcing that the two actors would be reuniting in front of the camera following his exit from "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" to star in "Law & Order: Organized Crime."
"#Makingduntime on #svu with @therealmariskahargitay and @campanellajuanjose," Meloni captioned the post, which included snaps of him, Hargitay, and the series' producer Juan José Campanella smiling for the camera, as well as Hargitay getting a few touch up in-between takes.
