When the world-renowned K-pop group Blackpink debuted in 2016, they didn't think they would be the international superstars they are today, even recently headlining at Coachella.

The four-member group comprises female Koreans, except for Lalisa Manoban, a Thai native. Better known as "Lisa" around the world, she is also the first non-Korean artist the group's entertainment company, YG Entertainment Inc., debuted, making her parents proud.

Lisa was born to be a performer and already started dancing at a young age. She successfully auditioned for YG Entertainment at 13 and spent five years formally training. Today, she is Blackpink's lead rapper, dancer, and supporting vocalist.

Alongside other Blackpink members, Jenny, Rosè, and Jisoo, Lisa became the ambassador for international brands, including American Express and Samsung. They also have a Netflix documentary and a mobile game.

Amidst her overwhelming success, Lisa remains close to her parents, who continue to support her journey as an entertainer.

Who Is Lalisa's Mother?

Lalisa's mother is Chitthip Bruschweiler, a beautiful Thai woman whose personal life remains private. Chitthip's profession is not disclosed to the public. However, fans get a glimpse of her life through Instagram.

Chitthip has a well-curated Instagram profile with photos featuring her family. She supports her daughter through the platform by promoting Lisa's releases. Lisa's mom also often posts their dogs, who appear to be loved family members.

In one of Blackpink's reality show episodes, Lalisa's parents surprised her and were brought to tears. It was undoubtedly an emotional and happy moment for them.

It appears that Chitthip is happy and enjoying her life. Based on her post, she also seems to have a close relationship with her daughter.

Lalisa Was Brought up by Her Stepfather

Not much is known about Lisa's biological father. However, she was raised under the care of Marco Bruschweiler, her Swiss stepfather, with whom she shares a strong bond.

Marco often appears on his wife's Instagram posts and is present during celebrations with their daughter, including her recent birthday party. Like Lisa, Marco is also famous for his craft as a renowned chef.

Before meeting Chitthip in Thailand, Lalisa's stepfather worked in different corners of the world, including South Africa. As he settled in Thailand, Marco built a career in the country.

Lalisa Gets Immense Support from Her Parents

Because of Lisa's job, she is often touring the globe or training in South Korea, rarely seeing her parents. This is why each moment they share together is warm and sweet.

As much as possible, Lisa tries to celebrate holidays and special occasions with her family. They also came together to support the entertainer when her new song, "Lalisa," debuted internationally.

K-pop music has been around for several years. However, it was only recently that the genre became a worldwide phenomenon, making hits and receiving accolades in several countries worldwide.

Besides music, Koreans are also known for their dramas, such as "All of Us Are Dead" and "Squid Game." One promising South Korean singer-turned-actor is Rowoon of the band SF9.

Rowoon has more than a dozen acting credits to his name, including "She Would Never Know," released in 2021. Since making a name for himself, Rowoon has become known globally and attained stardom.
