Why Did Alison Arngrim Call Her TV Father "Bad"?

Looking back at her time on "Little House on the Prairie," the actress revealed that Michael Landon, the ultimate family man on the show, was the opposite in real life.

Even though Arngrim clarified that she did not have a problem with Landon, she confessed that she did not like the environment he created on set.

She called them "manic" and said he would drink, smoke and make bad sexist jokes creating a "booze-drinking culture on set," said Arngrim.

Even one of the co-stars that played Landon's wife on the show confessed that he once refused to pay her minimum wage and made hurtful remarks about her body and inappropriate jokes.

Many people believed he was the good family man he portrayed on television, but Arngrim said he was far from it, starting with him driving a Ferrari and being married three times.

Aside from the ups and down in his life, the comedian still admitted that Landon was a good person at heart, very hard working and creative.

Landon might have had too much energy that many people could not keep up with, but Arngrim did not mind how "wild" he was, but she believed being a teenager influenced her view of him. "He's not everyone's cup of tea; that is absolutely true," she remarked.
