Who Is Billy Campbell's Wife? He Rarely Talks about Her
Billy Campbell and his wife, Anne Campbell, keep their private life away from any media attention so much that very little is known about their relationship except that they share a son who is still relatively young.
Born on July 7, 1959, Billy is a native of Charlottesville, Virginia. He has had a long-standing career that dates as far back as 1982. The past four decades of on-screen appearances have resulted in over 75 credited acting roles.
However, despite his long-standing status as a celebrity, the actor has done well in managing his private life. He lives with his wife on a farm in Norway and spends much of his time there when he is not filming.
Billy Campbell Aced His Jack Lombardo Role on 'FBI'
Billy had a guest starring role on CBS's "FBI," which impressed fans with his skills of playing a bad guy, while others couldn't get over his attempt at a New York accent. The episode aired on April 18, 2023, and the actor portrays Special Agent Jack Lombardo, who reconnects with his old friend, Agent Jubal Valentine.
Although not one of the more recognizable faces in Hollywood, the actor has a solid resume that includes a starring role as Jennifer Lopez's abusive husband, Mitch, in "Enough." The 2002 crime drama thriller has reportedly grossed over $51 million globally.
Playing Jack Lombardo was not Billy's first show as a man of the law. He had a lead role in a Canadian crime drama television show called "Cardinal," playing detective John Cardinal, a part that earned him a nomination at the 2018 International Emmy Awards. The actor described his work on the show as the best role ever.
Billy Keeps His Personal Life Private and Rarely Talks about His Family
Asked about his four-season contribution to "Cardinal" and how he felt when he heard that the show would be canceled after the fourth season, Billy made a surprise revelation that the show had been renewed for a fifth season. This was after actress Sofia Helin had liked the show so much she convinced the producers to go for one more season.
For Billy, this was a double win as he got to continue playing his favorite on-screen role, and on a more personal note, he got to be close to his wife and family. The show was set to be filmed in Sweden, which shares a border with Norway, Billy and his family's country of residence. He said:
"[Now] it seems we'll do a fifth season, to be shot in Sweden. Can't tell you how happy that makes me, now I live in Norway. I can come home on weekends, and my wife and kids can visit while I'm working… Heaven!"
Billy Shared a Picture of His Family Once
During an interview with Ringside Report, Billy talked about his residence in Norway, revealing that he relocated because of his wife. He added that he had "been waylaid, pilfered, and now in thrall to a Viking lass."
The actor lives on a farm in the south of Norway, where his wife's family has resided for over 450 years. Billy enjoys spending time with his family, and in January 2003, he tweeted a photo of himself with his family in the snow as they celebrated the New Year.
Billy Also Shares Pictures of His and His Son's Drawings
Billy has had a long-lasting television and film career stretching for over four decades. His film catalog includes films such as "Ghost Town" starring English comedian Ricky Gervais.
Billy's contribution to television is more extensive, as he has appeared in over 45 TV series and movies. One of the shows is the famous "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," starring Christopher Meloni, Ice-T, and Mariska Hargitay.
Aside from the on-screen talent that has seen him make a name for himself in the television and film industries, the multifaceted Billy also displays another of his artistic talents on his social media.
The actor shared photos of his drawings on Twitter of a family embracing in December 2022 and another with a picture of a naked troll which his son had requested. The son also does some drawing; his father shared one of his drawings showing an Easter Bunny.
