Grant Troutt's Dad Founded Basketball Teams for His Sons
Kenny came from a single-parent home. His mother, who raised him, worked as a bartender, and they lived in public housing in Illinois. He grew up to be a billionaire, and in 2017, he lived in a seven-bedroom mansion sprawled across almost 17,000 square feet.
He lived in his over-17-million-dollars worth mansion with his wife, Lisa, and their three kids, sons Preston and Grant, and their daughter, Savannah. He is also passionate about horse racing despite being allergic to horsehair.
Besides supporting her husband, Lisa usually hosts the Sweetheart Ball to raise funds for the cardiology research and programs at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. As of 2019, the ball had raised at least 37 million dollars.
In addition to being a successful businessman, Kenny is dedicated to improving his kids. In 2005, he founded three youth basketball teams, one for each of his sons and the third for the son of the man running his family office.
The father of three founded these basketball teams known as Titans because his sons loved playing hoops, and he wanted them not to waste their time watching TV or playing video games.
Each team was age-appropriate to accommodate the boys, and they had an all-star team participating in tournaments. Despite Kenny's wealth, he was a quiet man who ignored fashion trends and was nervous about interviews but knew everything about the basketball teams and each team player's history and life story.
While his sons played basketball, there is little information about what his daughter did except that she attended The Episcopal School of Dallas and studied Special Education and Teaching at The University of Texas at Austin.
