Lisa Niemi, 66, recently appeared on Today Show and snapped a photo with Hoda Kotb. Fourteen years after Patrick Swayze's death, Niemi continued to honor the actor's legacy in the most meaningful ways.

With a beaming smile, Niemi donned an orange long-sleeved floral shirt paired with fitting purple pants in the recent snap. In the caption, she thanked Kotb and the show for supporting her campaign for pancreatic cancer awareness.

Patrick Swayze's widow talked about her partnership with Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and its PurpleStride event, a fundraising walk on April 29.

According to the organization's website, its mission involved taking action "to improve the lives of everyone impacted by pancreatic cancer by advancing scientific research, building community, sharing knowledge, and advocating for patients."

The "Dirty Dancing" star passed away at 57 in 2009, twenty-two months after his pancreatic cancer diagnosis. Niemi said that though the disease took the actor, "it never beat him." After 34 years of marriage, his presence remained with her. She shared:

"His voice is in my head. He comments on what I'm doing. When I need a bolstering up or something's going on, I can ask him in my head, and I hear exactly what he's saying, which is generally, 'Come on, girl, get real.'"

Despite the loss, Niemi found love a second time around. She tied the knot with jeweler Albert De Prisco, who she met through mutual friends, in 2014 after getting engaged on Christmas Eve the previous year.

The couple wed in an intimate ceremony at The Mar-a-Lago Club in front of more than 50 guests serenaded by a string quartet.

With their mutual love for horses big and small, Niemi and DePrisco took residence on a ranch in Florida.

Though she still kept the late "Ghost" actor close to her heart, Niemi admitted that her new love for her husband didn't complicate her love for Swayze. Because as for her, both came from the same well.

"Love doesn't stop just because someone has left this Earth. It's still there," she said. To others who also dealt with losing loved ones, Niemi offered a piece of advice. Take the risk of falling in love again but do it at the right time.
