Sophie Thatcher's Boyfriend: The 'Yellowjackets' Actress Is Dating Musician Austin Anderson

Since making a name for herself as an actress, fans have wondered, who is Sophie Thatcher dating? Although the "Yellowjacket" star does not share much about her personal life, Thatcher revealed that she and her boyfriend, Austin Anderson, have enjoyed over a year of dating.

Since making her silver screen debut in 2018, Thatcher has been an actress on the rise. She has recently starred as Natalie in Showtime's psychological drama series "Yellowjackets," which follows her character's journey in solving the mystery surrounding her sister's death.

While Thatcher and fans alike look forward to seeing her on-screen role grow further, little is known about the actress offscreen. However, from time to time, the Illinois native gives fans a glimpse at her life and her relationship with Anderson on Instagram.

Sophie Thatcher Openly in Relationships

At the time of writing, Thatcher had amassed nearly 200,00 followers on Instagram. Although most of her roughly 500 posts at the time of publication were pictures of herself and her work, the actress also occasionally shared pictures of Anderson.

On April 15, Thatcher turned to Instagram to share two pictures of Anderson in honor of their first anniversary. In the first slide, Anderson donned a denim button-up as he posed for the camera, and the second slide showed a snap of the couple as Thatcher rested her head on her partner's shoulder.

"A year," the star of "Yellowjackets"— which received good reviews on Rotten Tomatoes— captioned the post. In October 2022, Anderson and Thatcher posed for more couples content; however, this time, they wore smiles as they enjoyed a day at the beach. Thatcher captioned the post with two emoticons, including a red heart.

As the festive season rolled around that same year, Thatcher had another reason to celebrate as she posted a photo of Anderson in honor of his birthday. "Happy birthday, I love u more than anything in the world (second pic was taken thru the beer balloon from party city lmao)(sic)," Thatcher captioned the post.

In the second to last picture of the photo dump, Anderon held up two fingers on one hand and five on the other, indicating his age. The last image was a selfie of the couple as Thatcher sat with her cheek pressed against Anderson's.

A few days before Valentine's Day in 2020, Thatcher and Anderson posed in a loving embrace as they flaunted their matching silver jewelry from John Hardy jewelry. One of Anderson's more recent appearances on his girlfriend's page came on March 14 when Thatcher shared a picture of the musician and sweetly captioned it, "I love you."

Austin Anderson Is a Musician

For many years, Anderson has led the Californian band Slow Hollows. Since the band's formation in high school, the musical group has released multiple tracks and albums, with their last album dropping in 2019.

Aside from his band, Anderson has used his creative talent in collaboration with other high-profile musicians such as Frank Ocean and Tyler, the Creator. Anderson's guitar-playing skills were featured on Ocean's album "Blond" and two of Tyler, the Creator's albums. While reminiscing about how his and Tyler, the Creator's collaborations, Anderson said:

"And so he just reached out, really directly. Then I invited him to a show that we played in this room in Mid-City, and a few days later, he was doing 'Cherry Bomb,' and I just did some guitar for it."

Anderson isn't the only one with a successful career in his relationship. Dubbed "One to watch" following her hit show co-starring Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci, and Sammi Hanratty, Thatcher expressed her excitement about her character and shared, "There's a lot more of a lightness in younger Natalie, and it grows. She actually starts to thrive."
