Although she is commonly known for costarring in "The L Word: Generation Q," Moafi has a few acting credits under her belt. More recently, she is set to play a training FBI agent fighting for a fairer way to solve crime in the upcoming series "Class of '09."

However, Moafi's pursuit of justice doesn't end with her onscreen roles. Although she was born in Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany, the actress is of Iranian origin, and her parents fled the country following the Islamic Revolution.

One of Moafi's career highlights has been playing Gigi Ghorbani in "The L Word: Generation Q." The actress revealed that she was both excited and honored to play a queer woman of color on a popular series.

"People all around the world are extremely sheltered from the gender and sexual diversity that exists within the sphere of Middle Eastern and North African communities because there's no representation," she shared.

While discussing her inclusive role, Moafi gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at her love life and revealed that while her character plays one-third of a polyamorous relationship in "The L Word: Generation Q," that was not the case offscreen. Moafi said:

"Personally, I'm not a polyamorous type, but I know many people who are, and that does not mean their relationship is right or wrong or that they know how to love better or less. I loved working the question out onscreen of, What do you do when you actually do love two people?"

In "The L Word: Generation Q," costarring Rosie O'Donnell and Jamie Clayton— Moafi shared the screen with Jennifer Beals and revealed that the two actresses not only got along as costars but outside of work.

With a musical background and experience in Opera and theatre, Moafi shared that she and Beals bonded over their appreciation for the process behind acting. "She was amazing. She's a true collaborator, and she's extremely humble. We have a really great rapport both on- and offscreen, so it was very easy to work with her," Moafi said about Beals.
