Lacey Buchanan, a devoted mother from Tennessee, shares the story of her son Christian, who has undergone several surgeries since birth. Unfortunately, Christian has faced instances of rudeness from people around him.

Lacey and little Christian once experienced a very unpleasant incident when a person asked to see him. Upon observing Christian, the individual reacted with a startled gasp and quickly moved away, as if Christian posed a potential threat to them.

Lacey says, "I hate that he's had to struggle but I try not to dwell on it, because that doesn't do any of us any good."

Despite all the unpleasant incidents, Lacey does not give up and continues to fight for her son. She knows that it's okay to cry when they need to, but they also know how to pick themselves up and keep moving forward.

Day after day, Lacey tries to give her son the best possible life, but the fact that he will never see her or experience the beauty of a sunset leaves her feeling incredibly sad. She says:

”I will always mourn that, because grief is the price of love, and it's a price I'm willing to pay because I love him so much.”

Although Christian didn't speak or walk until he was three years old, he now plays the violin and has even joined a baseball league for people with disabilities. However, his struggles continue, and he will undergo more surgeries as he grows older.

Christian understands that he is different, but it doesn't stop him from loving himself. His family deserves credit for nurturing his self-confidence and helping him love himself from an early age. Christian's brother, Chandler, has also played a huge role in his life and has become his best friend. He supports and encourages Christian whenever he needs help and can't do things on his own.

I will never hide my son,” she says.
