Jane Fonda, 85, Highlights Her Curves in Figure-Hugging Sequined Outfit at Cannes
Jane Fonda joined the bevy of A-listers at Cannes and defied father time with her stunning appearance. This year, the actress opened up about embracing aging and said this chapter of her life has been the "happiest."
Ever-glamorous Jane Fonda lit up the night and flaunted her curvy figure at the closing ceremony of the 76th Cannes Film Festival.
The 85-year-old teamed up with Alexandre Mattiussi's AMI Paris and turned heads in a form-fitting, custom black sequin-embroidered top with a dramatic asymmetrical train, complemented by impeccably tailored silk cady trousers that highlighted her amazing physique.

The "Grace and Frankie" star framed her radiant silver locks with a sparkling diamond chainlink necklace and matching dangling earrings.
Fonda seized the spotlight as she presented the event's most coveted award. Her speech drew the audience into a nostalgic journey back to her initial experience at the renowned film festival.
"My first time here was in 1963," she said, eliciting roaring applause. She lightened the moment with a playful remark about how many in the room weren't even born then.

Her appearance marked a humorous incident when Fonda threw the awards scroll at Palme d'Or recipient Justin Triet.
Triet, who won for her thriller "Anatomy of a Fall," forgot to collect the accompanying scroll with her award. A tap on the back from Fonda didn't do the trick, so Fonda hurled it at her.
Not slowing down and busy as ever, Fonda has four projects this year, with "Book Club: The Next Chapter," "80 for Brady," and "Moving On" already in theaters. Meanwhile, "Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken" is set for a summer release.
Despite her packed schedule, the Academy Award winner revealed that this stage of her life had been her "happiest" yet. Reflecting on the wisdom that comes with age, she shared:
"I spent a lot of time like a canoe with no paddle being carried in the current. As I got older, I learned I'm going to put an oar in the water and steer."

Fonda is a warrior in every facet of her life. Last year, she underwent five chemotherapy sessions after being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
And just before her birthday, she received the good news that her cancer was in remission and called it the "best birthday present ever."
The mother of three expressed that despite ending her chemo treatments, she thought of death often. "I think that's a healthy thing to do. It's hard to live right if you don't think about death. It's a part of life," she said.
