According to Jane, her "good posture" was one of the reasons why she looked younger, but some netizens said it was because of a "facelift," "lots of plastic surgery," or fillers.

"Because of the plastic surgery, not because of health," one Instagram user wrote, while another said, "A lot of great plastic surgery and a makeup artist. Be real."

Why Did Jane Fonda Not Want to Become an Actress?

The two-time Oscar winner has openly admitted she never wanted to become an actress due to her lack of confidence. In her younger years, Jane believed she didn't possess the necessary qualities to pursue an acting career.

"I didn't think I was pretty enough. I had a lot of body dysmorphia," the "Klute" actress admitted. Besides, Jane grew up watching her father return home from work without "joy," which was another reason she was never passionate about acting. However, the then-young Jane eventually made her way into Hollywood through a friend.

Despite her initial lack of direction, Jane found her path to acting through her friend, Susan Strasberg. Susan encouraged the "Nine to Five" actress to meet her father, Lee Strasberg, who saw Jane's hidden potential and told her she could act.

Jane recalled, "No one had ever said that to me." She confessed that Lee's words encouraged her to see herself in a different light. Until then, the young Jane had doubted her talent and never believed she could achieve great things in life.

What Are Jane Fonda's Plans?

Jane confessed she felt 80 despite being 85 because of her good health. She compared herself to her father, who never turned 80, saying he looked much older than his age because of his heart disease.

The "Barbarella" star also mentioned her cancer, which was diagnosed in 2022, but was in remission before she turned 85. Although it was treatable, it did remind her of death and pushed her to achieve her goals, so she would have no regrets when it was time for her to go. "It's hard to live right if you don't think about death," Jane reflected.

Despite being in her 80s, Jane has no plans of slowing down in her career or her mission to make this world a better place to live.

The actress feels everyone should play their role in saving the planet from dying. She plans to focus on raising awareness about the climate crisis because she feels it must be urgently addressed.

Jane confessed feeling "depressed" when she does not indulge herself in working to save the planet because she truly understands how global warming and climate change threaten life on Earth.

She hopes the government implements its plan to tackle the climate crisis and that everyone plays their part in solving the climate change problem before it's too late.
