Following the end of her first marriage, Kim Cattrall found love again with Andre J. Lyson, an older European architect. The former couple fell "hopelessly in love" and later married. However, the distance between their home in Germany and Kim Cattrall's career in America became "too great."

While she was born Kim Cattrall, fans of the actress have come to know and love her as Samantha Jones, the sexually liberated, chic blonde from HBO's hit series "Sex and the City." The actress was born in Liverpool, England, but was raised on Vancouver Island in Canada.

However, at 16, Kim Cattrall relocated to the Big Apple to chase her dreams of becoming an actress. She was still a teenager when she married her first husband. And years later, the "Mannequin" star met her second husband, Polish architect, and investor Andre J. Lyson, who was ten years older than the actress.

He also lived in Mainstraße, Germany, before moving to the more well-known Frankfurt with his family. However, he continued his schooling in Offenbach. And as of 2015, Lyson still meets with his old schoolmates even after graduating from the Rudolf Koch School. He said:

"Although I live in Frankfurt, I have never really distanced myself from Offenbach. We still hold our class reunions here. Two or three of my very good friends are from Offenbach and we meet up here regularly. So I still know the city well."

When he met Cattrall, Lyson was a successful architect and real estate investor with an eye for real estate potential. In 2015, his company, Prime Properties, under the Lyson Group, successfully implemented the creation of a complex—which was initially considered "problematic"—that combined living and shopping in one building.

Following the execution of the building, which Lyson had planned since 2011 and was warned about by colleagues, the construction project was projected to "shape the future" of the area in which it was built.

Cattrall revealed that although she loved the men she had married "very much," she jumped in feet first into her past marriages without considering the "realities" of her true love: acting. "Sex and the City" ran for six seasons, leaving her on set for up to sixteen hours. She said:

"I was far too young to be married, and that killed the first. With the second, he was in Germany, and I was in America for too much of the time. The distance was too great."
