Nova Whitfield is the daughter of comedian and musician DC Young Fly and the late "Wild 'N Out" star Jacky Oh. Although she is just a child, she is steadily building her mark on Instagram and YouTube.

After welcoming Nova, the couple went on to expand their family. In 2020, Jacky gave birth to their second daughter, Nala, and in 2022, they had their third and last child, a son named Prince.

The Sudden Passing of Jacky Oh, Nova Whitfield's Mother

Nova Whitfield's mother's untimely death was a shocking and unexpected loss to the world. She was 32, and according to TMZ's report on June 1, 2023, Jacky passed away in Miami, but the actual cause of her passing remains unknown.

However, TMZ also mentioned a since-deleted social media post that claimed Nova's mother, whose real name was Jacklyn Smith, had traveled to Miami for a "mommy makeover."

Following the tragic news of her passing, the "Wild N' Out" official Instagram account posted a heartfelt message in honor of Jacky. The post highlighted her as a "loving friend" and a "beloved colleague."

It also praised her as a "tremendous mother." Additionally, the post extended condolences to the show's cast, including DC Young Fly, Nick Cannon, and B Simone, during this difficult time.

The post added that Jacky's memory will be treasured and missed. Nova's late mother was featured on the MTV show for five seasons. Afterward, she started her own business—a lip gloss line called J Nova Collection.

Although she and DC Young Fly had been together long before her death, they never tied the knot. In her 2017 interview with DJ Smallz, Jacky mentioned that there had been no discussions about marriage with her partner.
