Kevin Gates' Brother Is the CEO of My Healthy Highway – Facts about Him

American rapper Kevin Gates's brother, Brandon Gilyard, chose a career far from the music scene. However, he is still flourishing as a business owner and maintains a good relationship with his brother.

Brandon Gilyard is one of three siblings from a broken family and humble beginnings. Despite his life challenges, he persevered through and became interested in health and wellness, forming a business concentrated on this.

While his siblings chose different paths in life, he remains on good terms with them and sometimes posts photos of his brother, rapper Kevin Gates, and his sister on social media.

Kevin Gates' Brother, Brandon Gilyard, Was Raised by His Grandmother

Although Brandon leads a private life, Kevin sometimes shares stories about his childhood with his siblings during interviews. Brandon was born in a low-income home and grew up in New Orleans and Baton Rouge with his brother. Kevin said of their upbringing:

"My grandmother raised us [...]. I guess my mother had got married, she was married for 14 years, and I got to go live with her and her husband and my little brother and my little sister."

While it is known that the siblings shared the same mother, there is no information on if they also shared the same father. However, Brandon's grandmother was a loving woman who welcomed anyone wanting to stay with them. At some points, 19 or 20 people would be in their household.

Brandon has come a long way from his childhood self. According to his Facebook profile, he owns the record label White House Administration and My Healthy Highway, a company committed to producing natural sea moss products.

My Health Highway's website notes that their sea moss is sourced from St. Lucia's clear waters and does not have preservatives or additives. The product boasts several benefits, including mucus removal, increased energy, and detoxification, among many others. At the time of this publication, only one product, the sea moss gel, is featured on their website.

Brandon also works as a cellarman at Tin Roof Brewing Company, Baton Rouge's largest craft brewery. The company's website boasts of producing "a variety of delicious beers and [serving] them in a comfortable setting."

Brandon Gilyard Holds His Family in a High Regard

Although Kevin Gates' brother followed a different career path from him, Brandon appears to still has a good relationship with his siblings. In 2021, he paid tribute on his birthday with a Facebook post. The year before, he shared a throwback photo of himself and his siblings on Facebook, writing in the caption, "Family is everything."

While Brandon is his blood brother, the artist considers another man his brother. In a previous interview, Kevin honored Doc B, claiming the late actor was like a brother to him. Unfortunately, Kevin was behind bars when Doc B passed away. Besides Doc B, BWA Ron considers Kevin as a brother as well.

Kevin Gates has a family, including two children: Islah Koren Gates and Khaza Kamil Gates. The rapper sees his children as his motivations and previously dedicated an album each to them.
