- Bobby Sherman was once a teen idol, with girls screaming when they saw him, but he changed his career altogether.
- He and his second wife created an organization to assist children in Africa, and fans celebrated him in a recent post.
- The star only welcomed two children with his first wife but was happily married to his second.
Bobby Sherman was once a late 1960s and early 1970s teen idol, with little girls' hearts racing whenever they heard or saw him. He was a school football star when he was discovered in the mid-1960s by Sal Mineo, Jane Fonda, and Natalie Wood at a Hollywood party.
The trio asked him to sing and even introduced him to Jack Good, a talent agent and the creator of ABC's show "Shindig." Soon enough, Bobby was a regular featured performer on the rock-and-roll show and became a fan favorite.

In 1968, he became a genuine teen idol when he starred as Jeremy Bolt in "Here Come the Brides." His television appearance led to more music, and between 1969 and 1971, he amassed seven Top 40 hit tracks.
These included "Easy Come, Easy Go," "Little Woman," and "Julie, Do Ya Love Me." His newfound fame led to his smiling face and shaggy hair that came up to his neck appearing on different merchandise like posters, lunch boxes, magazines, and more.

The star's show lasted for two seasons before he got a starring role in the 1971 "Partridge Family" spinoff "Getting Together." He was cast as a songwriter who struggled with making it in the music business, but also, in the late 1970s, he learned first aid.
Sadly, it only ran for half a season because it was scheduled at the same time as a fan-favorite show. For three years, he lived a hectic life where he filmed five days weekly, flew somewhere for a matinee and had evening shows over the weekend, and then flew back to the studio to film again.

Bobby was disorientated and always had to be reminded where he was, but he enjoyed the concerts and fans. Instead of retiring, he withdrew because his lifestyle was draining him and built a studio in his garage.
The next three years were spent recording scores for television shows and movies. Sometimes he got to have guest appearances on shows like "Murder, She Wrote" and "The Love Boat," but he generally traded his role in the public eye for one of service.

In 1988, he became a certified emergency medical technician (EMT). By 1994, he was known in CPR circles and volunteered his services for about 40 hours monthly in a nonprofit volunteer EMT program he founded in 1989.
The singer gave first aid to victims in medical emergencies but still sold music. During the holiday season, the 1970s "Bobby Sherman Christmas Album" still sold thousands of copies, but now focused on his new craft, he said:
"There's not a better feeling in the world than when you're responsible for saving someone's life."
In 1996 when he appeared on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," the musician revealed that he'd delivered five babies, and the last one was named after him. Years before, in 1992, the star was sworn in as a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) police officer and a chief medical training officer.
Bobby also delivered his sons, Christopher and Tyler, from his first marriage and was involved in raising them. Seeing the two boys suffer injuries, wounds, and scrapes as children, he took classes and his introductory to first aid-CPR class.
Today, Bobby is still creating music, though working behind the scenes. He and his second wife also co-founded an organization that works with African children with the goal of giving them a better life.
What Kind of Life Does Bobby Lead Now, and What Does He Do?
At age 43, Bobby revealed that he'd led a "pretty clean life," which afforded him to age well with his boyish good looks still intact. He also still appeared on prime-time television but preferred working behind-the-scenes recording and in television.

The star even revealed that he didn't "feel" that much older. In 2011, he and his second wife and activist, Brigitte Sherman, launched The Brigitte and Bobby Sherman Children's Foundation, which provides Ghanaian children with tools to succeed in life and quality education.
Speaking about his [Bobby Sherman] life, the star confessed that he wouldn't change anything about his past except being more aware of his successes.

Although the former singer's first marriage failed to last forever, he was still married to his second wife and going strong. However, they didn't expand their family when they tied the knot.
Bobby's past Marriage, Children, and Current Wife
In 1971, while Bobby's fame rose, he married his first wife, Patti Carnel, and they had two children. He spent around $15,000 and almost two and a half years building a miniature model of the Main Street of Disneyland in his backyard so his sons had a great place to grow.
However, Carnel wasn't pleased with the project as she was constantly annoyed by the hammer's banging! After marrying Brigette in 2011, the couple never welcomed any children together but were still happily married today.

Speaking about his life, the star confessed that he wouldn't change anything about his past except being more aware of his successes as he believed he would've "relished the fun" a little more. Bobby admitted it was lots of work that involved sweat, blood, and tears, but he recalled the period as "the best of times."
