These days, the 53-year-old Ricky spends most of his time away from the camera, preferring to spend his days tending to his farm instead of acting. That said, Ricky still keeps in touch with his fans via social media, often making and sharing videos wherein he talks about things that matter most to him.

In one of the latest of these videos, Ricky could be seen standing beneath a lovely blue sky on his farm wearing a hat and a jean shirt. At the start of the video, he reminisced about his uncle and his youth. Ricky's uncle taught him about the military, and the actor urged people not to disregard corruption in federal systems.

Although Ricky now lives a tranquil life on his farm, the actor had it tough after his time on "Silver Spoons."

Several reports claimed that Police showed up at the actor's home after midnight, where they got in contact with his girlfriend.

Although Ricky came across as a loving family man at one point in his life, it has come to light that he does not have the best relationship with his daughter, Cambrie Schroder.

Ricky was subsequently arrested and taken to jail. His bail was reportedly set at a steep $50,000. Although the extent of Ricky's girlfriend's injuries was unknown, she apparently refused medical attention when the Police arrived. This wasn't the first time Police showed up at Schroder's home.

A month earlier, Police were also called to Ricky's residence, once more a little after midnight, to sort out a domestic disturbance. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department showed up at his house, briefly spoke to Ricky and his girlfriend, then took him into custody. The next day, Ricky apparently paid his bail.

Around the time of his second arrest, Ricky's family tried to help the actor turn his life around. They started to realize he had problems caused by constant partying, and they hoped by arranging an intervention, they could help Ricky see the effects his lifestyle was having on himself and those around him. "The last couple of years since their split he hasn't been doing well. His nonstop partying has truly affected his everyday life, and his family wants nothing more than for him to get the help that he needs."

The source claimed Ricky's ex-wife, Andrea Schroder, kept the actor in check. Ever since the pair divorced in 2016, those close to Ricky allegedly noticed he was spiraling out of control. Ricky and his ex-wife married on September 26, 1992, and the couple share two sons and two daughters.

Although Cambrie doesn't have the closest relationship with her dad, she also admits that she doesn't entirely blame him for the way he managed stressful situations. She believes that as a child actor, Ricky never developed certain coping mechanisms, which leaves him at a disadvantage as an adult.
