Despite his ex-wife's fame, Gerson Archila has kept a low profile over the years and rarely interacts on social media. Before the former couple went their separate ways, Hunter Tylo revealed that her ex-husband was there for the actress and her daughters after they lost two family members.

After hiding her identity while on a dating site, Hunter Tylo met the man she would marry—Gerson Archila. The former couple spoke on the phone for hours, not realizing they were only living a few hundred meters away from each other.

Gerson Archila and Hunter Tylo later married during a private ceremony with family and friends. And although their marriage didn't last, Hunter Tylo revealed that Gerson Achila had been there for her and her daughters during a difficult time.

Gerson Archila Is Close with His Family

Gerson was born to his parents, Olga and Homer Archila, who have been married since 1968. While little is known about his father, Gerson's mother has served as the President of the HOA at Laceno Villa since August 2014.

Olga originally came from Los Angeles but relocated to Panama City. And in addition to Gerson, she and Homer welcomed another son, Danny, and a daughter, Marleny. The family is very close, and Olga often turns to social media to document their family gatherings.

In 2018, Gerson's mother celebrated his father's birthday, and that same year, she showed her appreciation for Gerson by sharing an adorable throwback of him. "This is my sweet Son Gerson, my lovely baby! My blessed (sic)," Olga captioned the post.

Gerson's mother commemorated his birthday in 2019, and barely two months after capturing the moment, she successfully sold her home. In April 2021, she shared a snap of Gerson's birthday cake in honor of his 50th birthday.

When the festive season rolled around in 2021, she shared a snap of all three of her children and another picture that included more family members.

Gerson Archila Played a Significant Role in Hunter Tylo's Daughters' Lives Following the Passing of Their Brother

A few years before Gerson and Hunter married, the actress's son, Michael Jr., died at 19. According to reports, Michael's cause of death was drowning after he suffered an epileptic seizure.

At the same time, Hunter's daughters also had to endure the loss of their grandmother. However, their famous mom revealed that Gerson had been there for his stepdaughters during the difficult time. Hunter said:

"He's a wonderful man. My daughters lost their brother and grandmother in a very short space of time. They see very little of their father, who lives far away. So Gerson is a very reassuring man and also very religious. This gave them the bearings they needed."
