After Lil Uzi Vert recently added the pronouns "they/them" on Instagram, several discussions surfaced online about the matter. A user took to Twitter to express belief:
"Lil Uzi Vert is gay and that's ok."
More users have been abuzz with Lil Uzi Vert's sexuality for several years. One netizen stated that the rapper gave off "gay vibes." Some referred to Lil Uzi Vert as a "gay Lil Wayne," while another reiterated that the rapper was "very gay."

Supporting the Twitter users' shared sentiment, the online magazine 032c featured an article, "CULTURE CRISIS: Therapies for the Confused," in May 2023, featuring various artists, including Lil Uzi Vert.
An essay published recently explored the topic of queerness in the rap industry. It mentioned Lil Uzi Vert and fellow rappers ILoveMakonnen and Saucy Santana as part of its discussion.
During a performance in 2019, Lil Uzi Vert sported a black shirt with a rainbow flag printed on it. The vibrant colors represent the pride flag of the LGBTQ+ community.

Lil Uzi Vert Has a Girlfriend
Despite the pronoun change and rumors surrounding Lil Uzi Vert's sexuality, the artist is currently in a relationship with JT, a member of the rap group City Girls, alongside Yung Miami. They have affectionately called their girlfriend "the one."
The couple have had their fair share of relationship dramas. One of the most recent incidents occurred during the 2023 BET Awards when the pair were reportedly caught arguing beside rapper Ice Spice.
During that time, JT allegedly accused Lil Uzi Vert of being a "groupie." Fans who saw the circulating videos speculated that Ice Spice might have been the cause of the couple's disagreement.

The fans also claimed that JT was upset because her partner had mentioned Ice Spice's name during a performance and was frustrated by seating confusion at the event.
However, JT's representative denied any involvement of Ice Spice in the misunderstanding between JT and Lil Uzi Vert. As for the seating mishaps, JT's camp did not comment on the matter.
