Charity Lawson revealed that she had been in a toxic relationship. She has successfully moved on and now holds a positive outlook on finding a life partner with whom she can establish a long-lasting relationship.

Before joining the reality show "The Bachelor" with the hopes of finding her future spouse, Charity Lawson disclosed that she had been in a six-year relationship with her high school sweetheart.

During an interview with Bachelor Nation, she briefly shared insights into their relationship, revealing that although they dated from high school through college, it was an on-and-off relationship.

The reality star acknowledged that the relationship did not endure due to its unhealthy nature. Despite giving her ex-boyfriend numerous chances, he never changed.

For that reason, Charity had to stand up for herself and decide what she wanted in a relationship. While she went on to date other people, nothing substantial emerged.

Charity and her family got emotional during an episode of "The Bachelor," which covered her hometown date with Zach Shallcross. During the episode, the topic of her past relationships came up, shedding light on her dating history.

It was an emotional episode for Charity and her family as her mom and brother openly expressed their concerns and worries about her potentially getting heartbroken again.

After the hometown visit and Zach meeting Charity's family, he sent her home during the rose ceremony. This decision surprised fans, as he had previously expressed that he could envision a future with all four women.

Charity, a 27-year-old child and family therapist from Georgia, expressed her enthusiasm for the opportunity.

However, ultimately, he realized he couldn't give Charity the love and commitment she deserved. Zach gave roses to Kaity Biggar, Ariel Frenkel, and Gabi Elnicki.

Following her exit from the show, Charity took to her Instagram to discuss her journey on "The Bachelor." In a long captivating post, the reality star wrote that when she joined the show, she didn't know what she was walking into, acknowledging that it was an experience of a lifetime.

She also thanked Zach for allowing her to be part of his journey, adding that he provided a safe space for her to be vulnerable. But that was not the end of the road for her.

Charity still has a chance to find her future husband on television as she was announced as "The Bachelorette" for the show's 20th season. During the "Women Tell All" episode, the host of "The Bachelor," Jesse Palmer, announced the exciting news to her,
