Liv Hewson's Partner: The Actor Recently Announced That They Are 'In Love'

Non-binary actress Liv Hewson revealed they had found love again with their current partner despite not searching for anything romantic. However, some of the "Yellowjackets" star's fans did not take the news well.

"Yellowjackets" has produced many fan-favorite actors since its premiere, including Liv Hewson. And as the Australian actor continued to make a name for themselves, fans have taken more interest in their life off-camera, including their dating life.

Liv Hewson has been open about her love life and shared her dating experience as a non-binary person. And recently, the actor confirmed they had met someone new and fell in love.

Liv Hewson Opens up about past and Present Love Journeys

During a podcast in 2019, Hewson revealed they were in a year-relationship with their then-girlfriend. The actor added that as someone who identifies as non-binary, the dating scene had an added layer of complexity.

While they did not reveal the cause of their previous relationship's end, Hewson shared that they were not looking for love when they found it earlier this year and humorously compared it to being hit over the head with a frying pan. However, that did not stop them from gushing about their new romance on the "Couple's Therapy" podcast, as the actor said:

"I'm in love. I mean, I hope that's ok to say, but that is what's happening."

Fans' Negative Reaction to Liv Hewson Having a Partner

Despite the "Couple's Therapy" podcast hosts revealing that they could see Hewson wearing a "glow of love" and blushing as they spoke about their newfound romance, the actor's fans did not take the news well.

One fan tweeted, "thinking about how liv hewson has a partner [sic]." The tweet was followed by a GIF of a man angrily hitting kitchenware off a shelf. Another fan shared, "liv hewson has a partner and it's not me [sic]."

However, a third Twitter fan claimed to be Hewson's partner as they wrote, "the thing about liv hewson is that theyre my partner and we're in love [sic]." Another social media user shared the same sentiment, writing, "ok liv hewson now you can reveal that we are dating [sic]."

Even though Hewson's fans were not ready to hear that the actor had jumped back into the dating pool, their fans could not get enough of the actor's chemistry with their "Yellowjackets" co-star, Jasmin Savoy Brown.

Hewson and Brown hosted Netflix's first podcast, "The Homo Schedule," and gave fans a closer look at their friendship. In "Yellowjackets," —co-starring Sophie Thatcher, Sammi Hanratty, and Juliette Lewis — the two actors play love interests, and Hewson admitted, "[...] we were like, 'We are doing this for gay people.'"

Hewson recalled being 16 when they came across the word "nonbinary" for the first time and knew this resonated with how they were feeling about their changing body. They said:

"It was this beautiful, celebratory thing of 'That's me.' I know exactly who I am. I've fixed it. But I couldn't tell anyone because, at the time, it felt really impossible."

After contemplating undergoing top surgery for five years, Hewson finally decided to follow through with their long-awaited dream and revealed that it was the best decision they had ever made. Additionally, their professional coming out and being correctly gendered surpassed even their wildest dreams.
