Etta NG Chok Lam Confused with an Actress as Jackie Chan's Fake Father-Daughter Moment Became Viral

Fans have mistaken Jackie Chan's on-screen daughter, Liu Haocun, for his real one in a viral video clip. Many were touched upon seeing Chan and Laocun emotional while watching the actor's old action films. Unfortunately, the star's real daughter, Etta Ng Chok Lam, is estranged from him.

Jackie Chan has cemented his name in the international entertainment scene with an illustrious career that spanned several decades. He is known for his breathtaking stunts, impeccable martial arts skill, and acting talent.

He recently played Lao Luo, a stunt performer, in the Chinese action drama "Ride On." One scene in the film showed Lao Luo having an emotional moment with his daughter, Xiao Bao (Liu Haocun) while watching old footage of him performing memorable stunts.

Interestingly, the footage used in "Ride On" were clips from Chan's action scenes in his real-life movies. However, fans noticed Chan's on-screen father-daughter moment with Haocun more.

Fans Mistook Jackie Chan's On-Screen Daughter for His Real Child

The clip soon went viral on social media, with fans mistaking Haocun for Chan's real-life daughter, Etta Ng Chok Lam. One social media user described the footage as "an incredible father-daughter moment," while another fan said:

"Jackie Chan and his daughter crying while watching some of his old movie scenes is the most wholesome thing you'll watch today. Thanks for our childhood legend."

Unfortunately, the sweet moment between Chan and Lam fans swooned over never happened. The "Karate Kid" star's daughter has been estranged since birth.

Jackie Chan Has No Relationship with Etta Ng Chok Lam

Lam, also known as Xiao Long Nu (Little Dragon Girl), was born in 1999 after Jackie's affair with beauty pageant queen Elaine Ng ended. At that time, the superstar was still married to Joan Lim. Fortunately, his wife forgave him, and his son understood the situation.

Besides her gender preference, Lam also revealed her relationship with social media influencer Andi Autumn.

Born out of wedlock, Lam has no relationship with Chan and claims she has no feelings for him. "He is not my dad," she said. "He is my biological father but he is not in my life." Lam knows the magnitude of her father's fame and has watched his films. To her, he is only an actor and nothing more.

Sadly, at one point, Lam's relationship with her mother also suffered when Ng struggled with alcohol. Ng was arrested for child abuse in 2015 but was eventually released by the authorities. Lam later dropped out of school and moved in with her girlfriend after coming out.

In 2017, Jackie Chan's daughter posted a photo of herself posing in front of a rainbow flag, the symbol of the LGBTQ community. Her Instagram share marked the day she reportedly came out as lesbian.

Because Lam steered clear of the spotlight since birth, her post immediately grabbed the public's attention. Besides her gender preference, Lam also revealed her relationship with social media influencer Andi Autumn.

The following year, the couple announced their marriage. In a since-deleted post, Lam shared the good news alongside a lengthy post about love for all. In her post, Lam briefly mentioned the challenges she and Autumn faced as a couple, until finally reaching marriage.

While Lam finally got her happily ever after, her love story wasn't always beautiful. Jackie Chan's daughter reportedly claimed that she and Autumn slept under a bridge because of their homophobic parents who refused to support them.

The pair have gone from food banks to hospitals to LGBTQ community shelters to survive. It is unclear if Lam's mother has since accepted her relationship with Autumn.
