Jennifer Garner Gets Slammed by Fans for Not Mentioning Independence Day in Her Summer Post

Summer is upon us, and celebrities have taken it upon themselves to enjoy this season with their fans via Instagram posts. The beloved Jennifer Garner did the same but received unexpected backlash for her Summer's Day post.

Jennifer Garner is ready for summer and dedicated her recent social media post to celebrate the warmer months ahead. However, not all of her followers thought that her post was appropriate.

Some social media users noted that she left out paying tribute to the actual importance of the day, and didn't hesitate to voice their opinions.

Garner recently took to Instagram to share a fun summer post. She popped out of the pool wearing a red swimsuit and goggles and wished her fans and followers a "Happy Summer." There were many positive comments, as one noted:

"Of all the celebrities, you, Jennifer [are] undeniably one of the most natural."

The post also received just over 304,000 views, but not all who viewed it saw it in a good light. Garner had posted this clip on Independence Day, and it rubbed many the wrong way.

As she shared the post on July 4, 2023, it garnered a lot of attention, with people taking offense at the fact that she did not mention Independence Day. One individual in the comment section wrote:

"I'm guessing saying Happy 4th is out of favor now?"

One commenter stated they were "bummed" that Garner didn't mention Independence Day, while another partially wrote, "This is sad."

Many came to Garner's defense in the comment section, with one person sarcastically pointing out that it is, in fact, summer. Another fan expressed:

"Bro. Stop. Just stop. This is America's #1 sweetheart. Please reconsider your life's choices before typing your comments."

Another individual found it hilarious that people were taking offense to this. He was of the opinion that these negative comments consisted of "crazy logic."

The "13 Going on 30" alum seems to have a general love for summer. Near the end of June, she posted a reel on Instagram focusing on her Garden during the summer, showing off her different fruits to her viewers.

While Garner is enjoying the summer and taking time to relax in the pool, she remains a mother to 17-year-old Violet Affleck. Violet recently attended an all-white party with Garner's ex-husband Ben Affleck as well as Jennifer Lopez.
