Joseph Morgan's Wife Persia White Is a Star in Her Own Right

Joseph Morgan's wife, Persia White, is best known for playing the mooching hippy on "Girlfriends," and met her husband on the set of "The Vampire Diaries."

As a teen series, emotions always ran high in "The Vampire Diaries," but behind the scenes, true love bloomed between recurring cast mates Persia White and Joseph Morgan, who portrayed Klaus.

The couple speak adoringly about each other on social media and have collaborated in many creative ways. White has spoken out about negative attention from her husband's fans.

Who Is the TV Star Joseph Morgan Married?

Persia was born October 25 in Miami, Florida, and is of Puerto Rican, African-American, and Irish descent. She relocated to Los Angeles as an aspiring musician after graduating high school.

She had uncredited parts in Arnold Schwarzenegger's "Last Action Hero," and "Blue Chips," and guest starred in "NYPD Blue," "Saved by the Bell: The New Class," and "Sister, Sister" in the '90s, and was part of the ensemble cast on the teen drama "Breaker High" with Ryan Gosling in 1997.

Her big break came by portraying Lynn Ann Searcy in "Girlfriends" with Tracee Ellis Ross, Jill Marie Jones, and Golden Brooks. The TV star had a recurring role in "The Vampire Diaries" as Abby Bennett Wilson from the third season.

Like her character on "Girlfriends," she follows a plant-based diet, is a musician, and has had a hand in documentary filmmaking. She co-produced the award-winning "Earthlings" with Joaquin Phoenix.

Persia wished her husband a happy Father's Day 2022.

The performer released her debut album named after her daughter, "Mecca," in 2019. The multi-hyphenate has since put out singles "Silent Heart" in 2014 and "Vampire" in 2023. She has written, produced, and starred in two short films "Revelation" and "Carousel." White Lion is her clothing label which she also models.

Joseph Morgan Does Not Have Biological Kids, but He Is the 'Coolest Stepdad'

The "Girlfriends" alum and Joseph Morgan do not have kids together, but she has a daughter, Mecca Morgan White, from a previous relationship.

Mecca has called Joseph "the coolest step dad on da island man (sic)" in a birthday tribute in May 2021, along with a photo of them and her mom in a tropical location. Mecca is a self-described "creative weirdo," actor, and content creator.

Persia wished her husband a happy Father's Day 2022, writing he cares for their family beyond what she knew "was even possible."

Inside Persia White and Joseph Morgan's Relationship

The "The Vampire Diaries" co-stars tried the knot in a rustic ceremony at a villa in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, on July 5, 2014, with only 26 guests in attendance. The bride wore Vera Wang.

The private villa was close to the spot where they had gotten engaged. White usually prefers social media posts with the "love of [her] life," he is also very supportive and loving towards her.

They share a vegan lifestyle, enjoy road trips and restaurants, and are "film geeks." The creatives started Night Owl Productions in 2016, a production company at which they make films, music, and art.

"I used to be afraid of attending conventions because, as some of you know, for many years, I was severely bullied by fans for being with Joseph. Being a woman of color made it worse," White wrote in April 2023 after attending Comic Con Liverpool with Joseph.
