"Hey, you. 10 years.," Lea Michele wrote on July 13, 2023, "It feels like only yesterday that you were here and yet a million years ago all at the same time. I hold all of our memories in my heart where they will stay safe and never forgotten."

"Cory and Naya will never be forgotten," one commented, referencing another "Glee" alumn, Naya Rivera, who had an untimely death.

Monteith, 31, died from an accidental overdose on July 13, 2013. Monteith and Michele secretly started dating during the early days of "Glee."

"I've been rewatching Glee - it hits different now," a fan wrote. "Such a tragic loss of such a good human," John Stamos commented. The actor and former addict advised:

"If anyone out there is suffering from this horrible disease, check out AA. Saved my life. Xo."

Michele and Monteith had an on-again-off-again relationship, much like their characters in the show. Fans lovingly referred to them as "Monchele."

Michele also commemorated Cory Monteith's last year. In 2022 she shared a photo of them on her Instagram stories smiling at each other. She did not include text, merely adding a red heart.

In the latter half of her tribute this year, she said, "We miss you every day and will never forget the light you to brought to us all. I miss you big guy. I hope you found Taylor up there and are playing the drums together."

Before his breakthrough on "Glee," Monteith guest starred on "Stargate Atlantis," "Supernatural," and "Smallville." He admitted to being intimidated by Lea Michele when they were introduced.
