- American singer-songwriter Miranda Lambert stopped her concert mid-performance to scold fans who were taking selfies during her set.
- Some of her fans opted to leave the show after the incident.
- Viewers of the footage that was posted online have slammed Lambert for her behavior.
On Saturday night, famous American singer-songwriter Miranda Lambert, shocked the internet when she stopped mid-performance at one of her Las Vegas residency shows to scold fans. The country singer and guitarist had just started to sing her 2016 hit classic "Tin Man" when she instructed her band to stop playing the music.
Lambert was annoyed by some young women in the front row attempting to take selfies during her performance. The sassy singer proceeded to give the women a piece of her mind.

The 39-year-old was frustrated that the concertgoers were paying more attention to getting a picture rather than listening to her music. She annoyedly expressed:
"I'm gonna stop right here for a second; I'm sorry... It's pissing me off a little bit. Sorry, I don't like it at all. We're here to hear some country music tonight; I'm singing some country... music."

The video was also shared on TikTok as it made its rounds on additional social media platforms. As a result of the ordeal, some fans even opted to leave the show before it was over.

Viewers of the Video Were Unimpressed by Miranda Lambert's Harsh Remarks
After many saw the video of Lambert making it a point to call her fans out, people were displeased with how the "Mama's Broken Heart" singer reacted. Many viewers thought she was being insensitive and rude for what she did, calling her mean and criticizing her for being unreasonable. Despite all the backlash she has received, Lambert has yet to respond or comment on the situation.
The cohort of people who felt as though the talented singer was being unfair remarked about how common it is for fans of an artist to want to take pictures at their concerts to capture once-in-a-lifetime moments. One Twitter user stated:
"Maybe she should have asked that fans not take pictures during the song, [and] make it a general statement. Phones are allowed; they paid to see her, maybe don't embarrass them. I like Miranda, but this just seems mean-spirited, even if that wasn't her intention."

Another Twitter user had some particularly strong feelings about what Lambert had done to her fans. The woman tweeted about the country musician's audacity in treating her fans, who were apparently in the VIP section, so poorly. She went on to state that the women who were chastised for taking the selfie had paid a lot of money to see the artist perform.
Like the other Twitter user, she felt the fans had every right to pull out their phones and take photos enjoying the concert. She ended her tweet by mentioning the fact that Lambert had always rubbed her the wrong way as a person. Similarly, a woman named Nicole Gerl echoed the exact sentiment of her not liking Lambert; she called her rude and said she had lost a lot of respect for her.

Amongst the thread of comments talking about how wrong Lambert was for what she had done, a Twitter user reposted the Instagram picture of the women that Lambert had been complaining about. The photo and its caption indicated that the fans had actually been trying to include Lambert in the picture to show whose concert they were having a good time at:
"These are the two pictures we were [taking] when Miranda Lambert stopped her concert and told us to sit down."
Although the majority feel as though Lambert was entirely out of order in her actions, a few of her fans have sided with the artist. Some expressed that they would have been annoyed by the women as well, stating that when one purchases a concert ticket to see a musician they like, they should direct their undivided attention to the singer and the singer alone.
